I saw some good things from certain players tonight as well.

Tolliver and Love seem to have some good chemistry and AT can certainly hold down that centre spot despite being undersized. Honestly, if they're aiming for more wins this year I would probably split minutes between him and Darko.

I only saw around 3 quarters of the 2nd half so maybe this didn't happen all game, but did anyone else see Beasley really going after the offensive rebounds? It's one of the things he didn't seem to want to translate from college, but it's easy points and between him and Love it makes us an even more dangerous offensive rebounding team.

Wes...what needs to be said?

The pessimistic basti in me thinks it had a lot to do with the fact the Dubs aren't that big up front (or in general, too) so it shouldn't be a surprise that Tolly held his own tonight.

Yea, I see it the same way. But props to him for playing a good game.

Maybe, but I've seen him hold his own against bigger front courts. Not saying it's ideal or something you would expect on a championship level team, but it definitely gives this team the best chance to win on both ends of the floor.

Within the first 20 seconds of that video, Ridnour and Johnson are on the break and Johnson had a clear path to the rim for a dunk. Instead of passing it to him, Ridnour pulls back. Is there a worse PG in the league about making simple passes on the break than Ridnour? And is there a wing in the league that gets screwed out of easy transition buckets more than Johnson?

A. Johnny Flynn.

Solution - Ricky Rubio.

I think thats one of the worst aspects of our offense, running the break the point guard rarely gets it to the guy. I have dreams of next season, of Ricky Rubio throwin up ally oops to Beasley, Johnson, maybe some Randolph in there, and occasionally Darko.

I know Darko only played 18 minutes today, but we werent running the offense through him, we gave it to Love alot in the high post.

A bit of both I think. Wes has talent. He just needs to be more consistently assertive. And GSW plays terrible defense, just like us.

Wes is an awakening talent. This is a significant game for him in the process of his development, but just one in what will be a large set. He will be a star in this league.

He was definitely impressive last night; I hope he spends the entire off-season learning how to dribble the ball so that he can drive a bit more...even if he can drive a little bit it will open his game up a ton.

Stopped posting after my pie was clogging up, was absolutely **** myself when they had the final possesion, HUGE block from Johnson..my first thought was that he fouled but no and I was going mental when I realised he hadn't. We got very lucky this time, 15+ lead in the 4th and we watched it evaporate before our eyes as per.

As always we couldn't contain Ellis/Curry who just sliced through our defence all night. Another big contributor was Lee who if wasn't up against Mr Love then he'd have been a lot more dangerous. Radmanovic looked like he was going to rain on us in the 4th. I liked how we controlled the o-boards but without Beasley's outburst and Love's sheer grit and determination we'd have have been totally screwed. Just goes to show that without these two on their game it'd take a miracle for us to even get within a chance of winning a game.

Really encouraged by Wes' performance too, fantastic block and steal in the last few possesions for us. Made some really big shots and had a really good allround game. Ridnour and Flynn (apart from a few silly TO's as per) did well at the point, Lazar was providing good offense off the bench and looks like he can chip in towards the end of the season. Randolph's introduction was short but sweet too. All in all, great comeback but we totally deteriorated in the 4th and this time for once luck was on our side. Major improvement from the last few games though.

Onwards and upwards!

Does anyone think this might be the game that finally got them over that "hump"?

I thought the win in New Orleans might be that kind of springboard game and I ended up disappointed. So I'm gonna go ahead and say no to this lol.

A win isn't exactly a trend. Plus it was a win against the Warriors.

On that topic, here's the games that occur after "the talk"
Kings @ Wolves (VICTORY)
Lakers @ Wolves
Wolves @ Pistons
Wolves @ 76ers
Wolves @ Wizards

So we basically can say we turned the corner if we get a few wins against mediocre opponents (ignore the Lakers). And if we lose the rest...well than we just suck.
