Why did Darko miss 3 games?

Official reports seem to be that it was due to the birth of a child...not to be a callous but if the birth went fine why did he miss 3 games? It's his private life so there's no need to pry, but was it due to a complication? someone also mentioned it was Rambis sending Darko a message

his wife and him had a baby. so he stayed home instead of going on the roadtrip.

You obviously haven't had a baby yet. See post #2.

I haven't but I think you mean to say "haven't had a baby yet while also playing on a lottery team."

I don't think a player on a team fighting for playoff contention would be allowed to miss any games just to celebrate a birth.

I'm not trying to be callous though but 3 games? The NBA lifestyle is grueling for families but it comes with the territory. I've heard of plenty of NBA players, playing on the day they have a kid, not cuz they don't care but because it's their job.

Either way nice of the team to give him 3 games off. Maybe it explains his poor performance the games previous waiting for the baby or w/e.

Mainly just timing. The baby was born right before a short road trip with back to back games. No big deal.

to clarify I'm not asking Darko to not spend time with his child. I was wondering more than anything because I haven't seen that happen often.
