A promise to not let Jonny handle the ball and/or run the offense through Darko and I'd put down a deposit for playoff tickets.

I hope you are more conservative with your money in other areas of your life.

Using $100 bills for toilet paper turned into a $2000 doctor visit, other than that I'm a pretty mild mannered Minnesota emigrant. I just have a passion for the Wolves.

Probably because he's only an assistant. There''s only so much he can do with the authority he currently has.

Thibodeau's impact on the Celtics was clearly seen....where is that impact from Laimbeer?

Thibodeau was clearly the defensive assistant and was allowed to install his own defensive scheme (which he has since also brought to Chicago). For the Wolves, on the other hand, Rambis also makes the defensive and offensive schemes on top of the head coaching stuff (rotations, etc). Laimbeer obviously doesn't have the same responsibilities nor the same opportunities to impact his team that Thibodeau had.

Huh? Thibodeau was coaching a a heavy veteran team with KG, Pierce, Allen, Allen, Rondo, and Perkins. KG, Perkins, Rondo, and T. Allen are among the best defenders in the league. Apples and Orange my friend.

I am opposed to canning Rambis anytime soon. I still want to give him another entire year to see improvement.

With that said, I am not opposed to Laimbeer, but I would be a little skeptical about him providing more toughness as a reason to make him a coach. As an assistant coach he has every opportunity to instill toughness into a player. Given Rambis' playing style, I would be very surprised if Rambis would contradict Laimbeer and tell players not too be tough. Laimbeer might have been bigger, and meaner, but Rambis was still a tough SOB when he played.

Chris Broussard on the Heat: "Usually when a team can't close games, it's the coaching."

And BINGO was his name O
"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."
