Basically sounds like Rambis is doing to Johnson what he did to Flynn, forcing him to do things he isn't comfortable with, which he struggles with, which hurts his confidence, which makes him struggle with the things he is good at, which hurts his confidence more, etc, etc, etc.

Gordon Hayward > Wes Johnson

Hayward has better perimeter skills and is more aggressive/tenacious, while being three years younger to boot.

It's a tough learning curve, etc. etc. Wes talks in that Strib article about how much he's trying not to think and how it's hard not to 'cause of all the things going on out on the court. Makes sense to me. I think he has a better brain than Jonny, will hopefully be able to put it all together.

We'll know a lot more next year, both about Wes' on court ability and about Rambis' player development ability.

Re: Gordon Hayward, the Jazz asked him to do a lot less, especially early in the season. It may have to do with that than anything else. Other things equal, I think Wes will be the better player.

So, nothing's changed since they played in the tournament last year and Johnson spent half the game doing his spot on Invisible Man impression?
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

Seems that way. You were right. Hayward looks even quicker now too.
