Does not preclude the fact that players will look a lot more talented if you give them time to gel together.

That wouldn't prevent me from adding more talented players to a 17 win team.

To problem is the players we keep adding don't seem to be talented enough to improve the team.

Felton is good enough to help the team

Can he help us win 5 more games next year? Sure. But realistically he's not going to help us two years from now. The pick, Ridnour, whatever we can get for Flynn. All that stuff could help us.

Not that I'm all that enthused about adding Felton, but just what are the Wolves going to get for a low pick in a terrible draft (I wouldn't be surprised if Taylor tried to sell it, which benefits him and saves a roster spot), a terrible backup PG in Flynn, and a solid backup PG in Ridnour? I mean, Flynn's main (only?) value is that he could be used to help match salary in a bigger trade.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

This draft is terrible towards the top but it has some depth to it. Klay Thompson, Lucas Nogueria, Reggie Jackson, Josh Selby -- and many others could all turn out to be very good NBA players. It's a crap shoot, sure, but OKC was able to draft a Congolese player nobody knew much about at 24. Obviously, in hindsight, they would not be better off having traded that pick for a rental PG to play behind/in front of Westbook for only one year that might have helped them win 5 more games when they stunk.

Ridnour has value to us as a solid back up point guard on a reasonable contract going forward. We were fortunate that he agreed to sign here. Trying to find another veteran PG down the road is likely to leave us worse off since there just isn't much out there.

Flynn is meh.

I suppose I still wouldn't be opposed to having Flynn one more year if we got a new coach, which is seeming unlikely. But....that'd be assuming Rubio didn't come over, and if he doesn't then who cares.lol

I'd rather move Flynn for a mid to late 1st round pick or failing that, for somebody else in the NBA.

It's best for both parties. It's not you, it's me.

I can't believe that anyone would actually be against adding a quality starting PG like Raymond Felton for completely expendable assets like Flynn and the 20th pick in a horrid draft.

Sure you don't make the deal until you get an answer from Rubio and the draft lottery because if Rubio or Irving are going to be here then Ridnour is already a fine veteran mentor who will accept being the backup if they beat him out.

If they get a no from Rubio and they lose the draft lottery then you absolutey would trade for Felton if you could. You also start shopping Rubio via trade while someone else still has a chance to get him to come over.
