He started the season so strong, then he really hit a wall. Did he ever return to his beginning of the year form?

he played MUCH better after they hired vogel as their coach...apparently o'brien was a real douche with him

Wolves21 trade is about the best I think we could make our team in one offseason, but I'd worry about new CBA ramifications with Granger, Iggy, and Love projected to make nearly $45M between the three of them.

I've been monitoring Trader Joe's trade on the T&T board:

What do you guys think? It nets us Granger and Iggy, without dealing away Rubio, Love, or the #2. And neither of the other fan bases seem too upset about it.

No. He's actually pretty terrible on offense, and a frontcourt of Love and Hibbert would be painfully slow.

Rubio/Ridnour
Johnson/Webster
Beasley/Webster
Love/Randolph/Tolliver
Kanter/Darko

No big trade, no muss. grab a SG prospect with #20, trade Pek and Ellington for a veteran wing player and hide out and wait for the rapture. I'm going to be the most boring guy on the board soon. :D

If we can get a quality SG without making any major moves it could be interesting.

We need to establish a 9 man rotation. Too many players all getting minutes means that nobody gets a consistent role and that hurts developing.

How do we get a quality SG without it being a major move?

His method was goofy and quirky at first, wasting picks on all those PG's but in the end he seems to have gotten it done.

I am sorry. I should clarify.

Without giving up Love, #2 or Rubio.

You could get OJ Mayo cheap, and then sprinkle magic dust on him to make this the year that he lives up to his hype?

I only pray that our management didn't wildly overrate their playoff performance and see him as a viable option at the 2. We need at least one (or three) plus defender somewhere. Only Iggy seems to fit that bill, as far as realistic targets go.

Agreed. And I think we have the ammo to make it happen. Wes, Pek, Beas, mid-round 1st are all valuable assets to a team like Philly looking to dump Iggy's salary.

The only problem is that if we get one vet, we need another. We'd still be too young and not talented enough otherwise. I'm guessing the #2 would likely be used in that case, because we don't want to trade all of our small forwards or either Love or Rubio, and that limits our options.

I don't disagree, but if MIN doesn't wildly overpay, then I don't mind the gamble.

Sadly, I think MIN's front office and beleaguered fans are going to wildly overpay for Iggy, who is a good fit, but not a good contract.

Granger is not worth all of that obviously, that said, he's a vast upgrade on Michael Beasley at SF. Granger posted a net positive PER of 2.3 at SF last year at less then 100% while Beasley posted a net negative PER of -6.2 at SF last year.

If Kahn can turn a cheap one year flyer on A Beasley racking up meaningless raw production on a 16 win team and make him the principle piece in a deal for a legitimate all-star still in their prime and you guys bitch about it your all nuts.

How did the Celtics land Ray Allen? A number 5 draft pick for a 32 year old SG. You don't want to deal a tweener who doesn't fit next to your star at all for an all-star?
