NYK gets Sessions, Jodie Meeks and #20
Philly gets #4, Pekovic, Toney Douglas and cash (via NYK)
Minnie gets Iggy and Andy V and #17

I'm for it.

EDIT: Not sure the 20 would be a deal-breaker for NYK. Maybe that doesn't go and the Wolves combine Flynn, 17 and 20 for something else.

I'm certainly not. No way in hell.

Ok, so draft Derrick Williams or Kanter...then what?
I guess because I'm a Knick fan and included them there's no reason that my idea would even be fairly critiqued. Eddycool...you're cool dawg.

I couldn't care less who you root for. It's just terrible value for the Wolves.

Dislike Iggy and/or Andy?

It gets us what we've all been saying we need, seems plausible, and doesn't include all the other stuff we think has more value than, "in addition to the 2nd pick," such as Beas, Randolph, etc.

It would leave us short in the front court, but Randolph and Darko help with that. Andy moves a lot on defense, so while he isn't the shot-blocking intimidator that Bynum and Bogut are, he still greatly improves the D under the basket.

The center options we've talked about as possibilities all have injury concerns, so Andy's no worse than the others there, and this nets us both a defensive SG and defensive C, and Iggy can score and run as well.

I think it'd be best if we hold the 20 and try to move it with 17 (if that would come here), Flynn and maybe another piece depending on what comes back to bring some experience to the bench, but in total I'd rather hold Beasley/AR/West and end up with Iggy and Varejao than part with one of them or only end up with Bynum or Bogut.

I like Iggy a lot, and AV is okay. And they could be had for less than this.

I'm not sure about that, but I hope that turns out to be true.

I'm saying that, if at the end of the draft, we have this roster plus Rubio (and the more I look at it, I think NYK doesn't need the 20 - Tony D and Ronny netting Sessions and Meeks is solid), I'm happy.

There's flexibility for minor stuff involving the 17 (or not if it's out), 20, Flynn and extra parts (depending on what position comes back) like Darko, Ridnour, Ellington, Lazar.

Rough options:

Rubio/Ridnour
Iguodala/Johnson/Ellington
Beasley/Johnson/Igoudala
Love/Randolph/Tolliver
Varejao/Randolph/Darko

I'd probably look for a strong, defensive 4/5 for limited minutes, but that's a hell of a lot better. We still need defensive improvements from our forwards that might never come, but I feel it's strong rotation.

I really think you're being unreasonable...you think they can be had for less than your 3rd string center an expiring and expendable swing man and a redundant pick in a weak draft?
If that were so, you would have already had Iggy or something even better than him on your roster.

May I ask just how valuable Iggy is then? From what I can see is he's vastly overpaid for what he does bring no matter how valuable his skills may be. With a very likely crackdown on the cap number with a new bargaining agreement, just what is Iggy going to fetch? or even AV for that matter.

Gah! I completely failed to think about how long they were locked up for. Even though I think comments about Glen being unwilling to spend are unfounded, we can't have Iggy and Varejao eating $20 M+ for the next 3 years if we're going to hope to be negotiating with 3 RFAs that we'd like to keep next offseason and we're expecting a less flexible cap.

Frick.

Just for a random Philly perspective, I don't see Philly taking that deal. Also, I'm not 100% sold on us even moving Iguodala this off-season (which has been the rumor for the past few summers with no actual movement). Some of the best looking ball came with a Jrue/ET/Iguodala line up on the floor, I can't see Collins (who's old and wants to win) looking to dump Iguodala for a raw big man in the draft and Pek/Douglas is pretty much bench fodder.
