the challenge is creating the capspace to sign somebody. as it stands we would have to do a s/t and give up a nice asset.
any TPE's out there we can work into a deal or two?

Re: Center Alternatives
tall order to not just find takers for our salaries but also for Kahn himself to realize moves he made less than a year ago are mistakes
no it seems our fate is for the Wolves to out-smart the world yet again and instead of taking a top 2 talent w/ the 2nd pick, we'll fill that center spot w/ Enes Araujo
*queue David Kahn **** eating grin as he hums "Aint Nothin but a G Thang" to himself*

Re: Center Alternatives
I think its either draft Enes Kanter or consider going small with Kevin Love at center for a larger percentage of his playing time. Considering that he was better statistically at both ends of the floor when playing center its not all that far fetched either.
Hell if you ignore the small sample size, Love had the second highest PER differential at the center position in the league last year with a +17.2 in 18% of the Wolves overall minutes played at center. Hell the Wolves even gave up 104 points per 48 with him at center vs 108 per 48 with him at PF.
He can bang and rebound with anyone at the center position and he can really stretch the floor forcing centers to defend his three point range which opens up the middle for everyone else. I think you still would likely start Darko in this scenario you just send Pekovic out in a trade to open up Love to play 20-25 minutes at center and 20-15 at PF instead of vice versa like he did last year.
It opens up more time for Beasley and Randolph to play at their natural position of PF and Beasley was also far more effective at his natural PF spot a year ago then he was at SF with a 5.3 increase in PER and a whopping 6.9 difference in PER +/-.
It also opens the door to drafting Derrick Williams at #2 overall and having it make more sense for the roster.
PG Rubio - Ridnour
SG Wes - Web - Ridnour
SF Williams - Beasley - Web
PF Love - Beasley - Randolph
C Millic - Love - Randolph
It would allow the Wolves to surround Rubio with 4 guys who can all shoot with 40% caliber three point range and with that group the Wolves would still figure to be an elite rebounding team despite playing smallball which eliminates one of the biggest problems with playing smallball.
Sure they'll get killed by some teams attacking the paint but hey they're been killed by teams attacking the paint with Love at PF too even with a defensive center like Darko.
