What's the point of getting Varejao if you're trading back for a big?

You do it because you can never have too many good defensive bigs.

The way I see it, they do 2 + Darko (for money reasons) for 4 (Biyombo) + Varejao. Then they do Wes + Pekovic (+TPE) for Iguodala.

They add 2 good defensive veterans and another high upside defensive big. They can then start Varejao while Biyombo adapts to the NBA, then move Varejao to the backup 4/5 with Love and BIyombo starting in a 3 big rotation.

Or maybe we just trade back and take Burks at 4, or trade back again and take Burks at 6 or 8.

8 and 10 sounds like a pretty terrible offer. We are dropping six spots in an already mediocre to soft draft class just to pick up more rookies? No way.

I would even consider 4 and 10, but you dropped from 4 + 8 to 8 + 10? No good.

Best CLE package would have to include 4 and either Varejao or 8. Otherwise they just don't have what we are looking for.

literally the PERFECT scenario for me would be the 4+8 deal and then jonas-burks...and keeping them....then sign a pretty nice vet(afflalo PLEASE) for mid level exception sort of money....we would have a young team to rival the thunder after that - obviously a few years behind in the development stage though. massive potential at all 5 positions which i would gladly endure another rough season to watch develop under a competent head coach.

that is an orgasmic and deep playoff running team in 2-3 years. aim for the championship or accept mediocrity.
