Bertans looks really raw, but I can see why he's intriguing. I think he will have to move to the 4 to defend in the NBA though. Don't we already own the rights to a similiar player in Bjelica?

BTW Vucevic, the C from USC, measured out really well at 6'10.25 in socks with a 9'4.5" reach, and 20 is right in his range. Could be a much cheaper backup C alternative to Pekovic if we end up moving him.

I've narrowed down my draft night reactions:

Jonas or Biyombo in a trade-down that nets something of value: Fan-frickin-tastic!
Jonas at 2: excited
Biyombo at 2: Intrigued, can see the logic but not the value. But ok with it.
Williams at 2: expected. waiting for other shoe to drop. If nothing drops, disappointed.
Kanter or a guard (even in a trade down). BOOOO. Run Kahn out of town with pitchforks.

I like this idea, and I mostly agree. Mine would have to be:

Jonas or Biyombo in a trade-down that nets something of value: Fan-frickin-tastic!
Jonas at 2: excited
Tradedown and taking a SG: Depends what else we are getting, but I wouldn't be unhappy.
Williams at 2: expected. waiting for other shoe to drop. If nothing drops, oh well. It's hard to be upset taking the consensus BPA at #2.
Kanter: Disappointed, but it could be worse.
Biyombo at 2: Please no.

I'm thinking about starting a new thread dedicated to expectations/reactions/what to do with #2 after the Williams/Kanter workout info leaks tomorrow, just to get one last forum vote on what we should do next week.

He also measured out as the least athletic player at the combine, and before his physical measurements, he wasn't considered a first round prospect (unless I'm remembering incorrectly). If a guy isn't worth drafting based on his actual, on court production, then he just isn't worth drafting.

Edit:

I would say:

Irving at 2: Fan-frickin-tastic!
Biyombo in a trade-down that nets something of value: Fan-frickin-tastic!
Biyombo at 2: excited
Jonas in a trade-down that nets something of value: excited
Williams at 2: expected. waiting for other shoe to drop. If nothing drops, disappointed.
Jonas at 2: Intrigued, can see the logic but not the value. But ok with it.
Kanter : Unhappy, but not ready to run Kahn out of town.
Anyone else: BOOOO. Run Kahn out of town with pitchforks.

I'm definitely not nearly as high on Jonas as you are. Based on (the admittedly little of) what I've seen of him, I would say that Jonas will have a very hard time adjusting to the NBA game, and there's a good chance that he'll ultimately end up having to play the PF position.

You're remember ing right, but your memory based on the view points of two or three less than privileged media members and ignorant of what 30 NBA teams actually thought.

I don't see why people would be disappointed with Williams. At worst he would be a hell of a 6th man.

Sadly, the center and SG positions were so awful last year that I'd still be excited, even though I think there are better options out there (I'm with you on Jonas).
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''
