In the past few weeks we have heard specific details about Cle,Tor, Houston, Mil and now Phx trying to trade for #2. Maybe Kahn wants to start a bidding war but all of the leaks may lead to the opposite result. Most trades that get made happen quickly and are not leaked (see teams such as Utah or the Lakers).

So because Gortat tweeted that he might get traded that equals a Wolves leak. Then with Cleveland getting the second pick along with the first pick seems more like a Cavs leak. The only leaks I believe are from us are Toronto, Houston, Mil. If I remember correct the McGee rumor came from a DC radio station. All the other players mentioned have been purely speculative by guys like Ford.

The Gortat rumor was out before Gortat tweeted about it.

I really don't remember seeing it before then but I'll take your word for it. The point is why would the Wolves leak deals where they get the worst of it.

Again, most of those rumors involve the Wolves getting raped in a trade. Doesn't exactly sound like the sort of thing that the Wolves would want to leak.

Depends on how some GMs work. If you were a GM, and wanted the #2, and you read that Minnesota was going to trade it, or you heard it from another GM or leaked somewhere, whatever, and you read the offer was kind of low, you might initially call with your own low ball offer, or you would think crap, if all they're offering is, I dunno, for Houston, 14 and 27 or whatever they have, then you might think hell, I'll up the price a little, then I will get it.
I could see the advantage both ways. Leaking trades where it sounds like Minnesota might get a steal could make other teams think that is the value of the pick. leaking lower offers, and then having them turned down could show teams ok, they turned down Iggy, but if we did Granger and 15, that's better, or Ellis AND, etc.

Are you trying to "leak" another awful trade for the Wolves?

And the best way for the Wolves to leak a deal for their gain would be to leak realistic deals (maybe on the favorable side for them). Awful proposals just encourage more awful proposals.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

We haven't heard much of any rumors that would seem to be offers that were initiated from other teams. I think Simmons is blowing smoke from something he heard from one of his friends at LAC, HOU, or BOS.

I expected Simmons to say, "The wolves leak everything .. but if I was chosen as Timberwolves GM, it wouldn't have happened, and it's yet another advantage I would have brought!"

Look, the moment that the card was flipped in the lottery that said the wolves got the second pick, everyone knew the wolves might trade it, because it doesn't fit. Sports is big business, and whether its TV, radio, newspapers, or internet, people are going to speculate. I haven't seen anything "leaked" that somebody at RealGM hasn't mentioned first.

The Wolves have lots of options, and safe to assume, have had tons of talks with most all teams one way or another.

I'd like to know what we're leaking other than mish mash, and second, I'd like to know who's getting all the info since it's not Simmons !!! What a gomer. I can just see him being a tattle tale in school
