You mean the 24 year old who put up 12 and 7 on 46% shooting in his 3rd year in the league?
But keep hoping that potential kicks in before his knees give out.

Actually, he was but 23 for the majority of the season, and that 12 & 7came in just 27.7 minutes per-game. You also forgot to mention that he's one of the top shot blockers and best passing centers in the league.

Per-36: 16.4 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 2.7 apg, 2.3 bpg─not all that far from the 20/10/3/3 I projected above. If he's not yet peaked, and I doubt he has at 23 and in his third season, then it seems like a real possibility to me. The biggest holdup would be whether he plays enough minutes to put up that level of production. Oh, and best of all? He did this while leading his team to the playoffs, as opposed to, say, a mighty 17 wins.

Again, we'll keep the highly skilled, huge, young center and #15, and you guys can draft the Al Harrington clone to add to your collection. At least this Al Harrington clone (probably) isn't a pothead, so it's a step in the right direction.

Hibbert didn't "lead" his team to the playoffs. He's perhaps the 3rd best player on that team. I'll concede that he may have contributed something to their absolutely dominant 0.451 winning percentage.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

If Hibbert has 20/10/3/3 potential, then Williams has 30/15/5 potential.

Hibbert has been transforming his body and is still fairly young. There's good reason to believe he hasn't reached his ceiling yet. All he has to do is become a more efficient scorer (which seems likely and 20 and 10 is probably in his wheelhouse.

On the flipside, he reminds me too much of Darko.

I think that I like this deal for Min because he seems like the type of player who we may actually be able to both build towards the future with and re-sign. Obviously we don't want to add players just because we could keep them, but realistically he projects as a solid longterm starter. I would do the trade but I'd prefer some of the other deals I've heard.

I thought Hibbert Looked great in the playoffs and seemed to really be coming into his own. That said, something really scares me about the thought of he and love together, but not doing this trade could really come back to haunt us if he turns into a dynamo.

There is no way that the Pacers trade Hibbert and the 15th pick for the 2nd pick.

Larry Bird shot down a rumor that the Pacers and Timberwolves were discussing a Roy Hibbert for the No. 2 pick trade. "We're not doing that," Bird said at a press conference today. "I'm not interested in trading Roy. Roy is one of our core group guys." ESPN.com

Darko was 25 for the majority of the year. Hibbert only had 2 more TOTAL blocks than him for the year and played 12 more games. In addition Darko only played 24.4 mpg and is a pretty decent passer... so where are we going with this? they have remarkably similar per36 numbers if you throw out Darko's FT% and Hibberts fouling
