Good thread.

How about we avoid posting trades here, or discussing them, and slide the trade ideas into their own threads. I have a lot to say about the Hinrich and Calderon suggestions.

I agree that Kahn shouldn't have allowed so much protection on the Al Jefferson trade at least not beyond the first year. I actually think he should've basically insisted on getting their 2012 pick allowing for only top 5 protection on it.

Out of everything that Kahn has done, its the one thing I really and truly hold against him. Not just the protection so much as just in trading him before he was allowed to get fully healthy post knee injury and see if he still had 23/11 ball in him which he showed he did exactly two years removed from an injury that is known to take two years to recover from 100%.

I didn't at all like that they basically held it against Jefferson that he worked his ass off to return early from that injury and then held it against him that he wasn't his best. I understand he still wouldn't be the best fit next to Love and that one of them still likely would've needed to be traded but they could've done it from a position of power knowing that they could deal which ever player brought back the best offer or at least gotten far more for him in my opinion.

I would certainly think he could easily be the piece that would've landed Iggy from the 76ers. They certainly need a center and his defensive concerns would be greatly reduced next to an Elton Brand.
