Isp banned from the site or something?

Post#1 » by Calinks » Mon Jun 27, 2011 7:12 am

During the draft I could barely get on here. Now I can't access the site from my home PC. Anyone have any suggestions?

It was slow on draft night for everyone. Not sure about other part.

Is your PC a mac?

I can't get on realGM with my macbook at all, but on every other computer/laptop I can get on.

THAT'S messed up.

I just started using a hand-me-down Macbook (Chrome) with no issues. WTH is going on here?

Calinks - can you check other computers on your network to deduce whether it's the PC or the IP. Seems if your IP was blocked, they would have frozen your account, too.

Well I can now get on here with my xoom tablet but the site keeps crashing on me and is glitch. I don't know what's going on, no other site is doing this.

I've had issues in the past with the site being glitchy and crashing on Android but it seems to be working fine for me right now. Maybe it's a compatibility thing with Honeycomb?

I though it might have been all the traffic because of the draft but it still doesn't want to load when I try and bring it up. Anybody having similar issues?

Yes! I'm not alone. Yea I don't get it. I heard that maybe because I tried to access the site so many times on draft night I got auto atically blacklisted and marked as a spam not or something. I don't know though cause my xoom can get here I can't on my PC though. I actually pulled the site up once today but it was all jacked up looking.

Same here, and i'm from Spain, i can only connect from home using a proxy. It looks like the spam detector took some supplement on draft night and went crazy.

my 8 year old just cries and uses his little girl voice to try to get things he wants. it doesn't work for him, might work for you? (sorry, just trying to think outside of the box) not sure where you are and how legal it is there, but a proxy server might be a good idea.

Well I think its something on real gms side. I have tried contacting the webmasters but never get a response. Anyone know how I can get in contact with them besides the in site method?

Are you getting a message from RGM when you try to log in on your home PC that your account has been banned (but otherwise not getting it and able to connect when login in from elsewhere)?

If so, it's actually happened to me as well (imagine how a global mod thinking he has been banned feels lol). It resolved itself after a few days for me though. Is this persistent?

Cleaning cache might help if it's that problem?

Not sure. RGM does IP block when it bans repetitive come-backers. It's possible at times that the block could inadvertently cause others.

No message I just can't access the site at all. I have tried contacting real GM and they have been remarkably unhelpful. Me and the handful of other guys are still stuck in limbo trying to get back in. Now I know how Kurt Rambis felt. Really wish real GM could at least tell me if my address is being blocked or what, this getting frustrating.

Tell us more about how we go about getting Calinks banned...

I'll hang up and listen.
