Derrick Williams will be a small forward. He's working hard on losing weight and improving his handles. He clearly doesn't want to be a PF. He is a big bodied 3 in the mold of Pierce or Melo.

I don't see it at all. The guy took 5 pull up jumpers all of last season. Five. He'd have to drastically alter his game to even begin making the Pierce and Melo comparisons legitimate. I'm not sure we want him to do that, because he's very effective at what he already does now. Let him thrive at what he does best - finishing plays others have created and hitting the open set jumpers at a high rate - and don't turn him into something he is not. I think best case for DWill is he lives up to the enormous potential that Rodney Rogers had but never quite did. He does that and he'll be a very special player.
Bet on yourself and believe in yourself if everybody doesn't believe in you. F--k everybody else. What do they know? If you have a passion and you want to put the work into something, then chase it. If it means something to you, chase it.

Fancies himself a 3 but he's definitely a 4. On both sides of the ball. Could be a super athletic David West.

Derrick Williams has been finishing all night. But as of right now won't be able to create shots against NBA defenses.

Williams is a better shooter from 20' than he is from 10'. As good an athlete as he is he doesn't elevate that high on his midrange shots.

Edit:

He might be a Small Forward someday, but right now he's clearly a Power Forward.
