I am a Bulls fan and I am usually protective of Bulls coaches and management but I always thought it made sense to get viewpoints from people with no vested interest. I'm not a Wojo fan but I usually read his articles. I do think that most outsiders feel badly for Minny fans because of Kahn. With all the opportunities he has had, its amazing that the Wolves still are very bad. kahn does need to go. Adelman should be a big help but Rubio definitely is not an answer to your team. Good luck and I hope you can keep Love.

Didn't want to start a new thread for this but is anyone else excited to watch Mike Wilbon find someway to hate on Kahn for hiring Adelman. I just wish these clowns would eat their crow.

He'll say they overpaid, that Kahn will be fired by the weekend, and the Wolves will tarnish Adelman's career.

You forgot that Wilbon will also throw in some jabs about Rubio being the biggest bust in the history of humanity.

Isn't Woj the guy who breaks like half the T-Wolves news? I find it odd he's our go-to-guy to break stories when he's so slanderous half the time. Maybe he gets pissy when Kahn doesn't break the news through him, and writes these articles out of spite?
I really wish Kahn would make a comment about how Woj wouldn't have a job if it wasn't for him, only in his Kahndescending manner.
This offseason we got Rubio, the number 2 pick and most widely regarded MVP of the draft, and hired a top 5 coach. It's obvious that it doesn't matter what this team does right now, haters gonna hate.

After Derrick Williams played his final game with the Arizona Wildcats in March, Minnesota Timberwolves general manager David Kahn found the player in the corridors of the Target Center. It wouldn’t be long until Williams would be searching for a job, and Kahn a player. Let’s talk this summer, Kahn was heard to tell him. This was a conversation that Williams preferred to never have again in his life, but circumstances change. And money matters.

Privately, Williams didn’t disguise his disdain for Kahn. They go back to Williams’ glory days watching Sesame Street in the late 1980s and 1990s, when Kahn was covering the NBA beat as a sportswriter for the Oregonian. The idea that a bad sportswriter had turned into a brutal NBA executive troubled him, sources said. He couldn’t stand him then, and had no intention of resurrecting a working relationship with the man.

As they say, you can’t pick your family members, or your beat writers. Your GM? Well, that’s different. Williams badly wanted the Los Angeles Lakers job, and he would’ve been hired had GM Mitch Kupchak not had to defer to Jim Buss’ desire for Darius Morris.

Five months ago, Williams never would’ve imagined he’d play with the Timberwolves. He was 20 years old, wanted a contender, and the Wolves are a long, long way away. Well, $5 million a season can change a man’s mind. It’s no crime, but understand: The money mattered here. Probably mattered the most. Yes, Williams wanted to play with Kevin Love, but he had no intention of doing it on a discount. In the end, money overrode everything – including the presence of Kahn.

The chance to play with Love had been the most intriguing part of the job for Williams, sources said, because he thinks Love will be fantastic in his offense. Willams watched Love grow up in California, watched his friends friends friends friend share a friendship with Love, and now Williams and Love are the powerbrokers for the Wolves. They give the operation professionalism.

Catch me next time when we discuss David Kahn: GM or rapist?

And if you think that Kahn has done a good job rebuilding, why would you assume he wouldn't be a good GM for a playoff team?

Wouldn't the difference be that one's primary goal would be to cut salary, take on some low risk gambles on young guys and not really worry about how it all fit together at the end of the day while other's primary goal would be to assemble a good, cohesive basketball team more focused on the present than the future?

It's called a failed attempt at humor. Basically you can reword it with any other name and it makes almost just as much sense. I'd discuss more, but I have to rent a rug doctor.

the de-evolution of a thread:

discuss Adelman hire -> rent a rug doctor

that being said, the rug doctor quite a nifty device.

I bought one of those bissel things, best investment of my life... but does anyone know how to get maple syrup out of carpet? not even goo-gone will touch that junk.

again... Woj is just cashing in on the trail guys like Vessey and Steven A have blazed. If you act crazy enough and bash enough people, some will read it.

This sums up my feelings towards Woj nicely.
