The problem with Roy is one of probabilities and dependences. If you have Roy on your team, he is a big part of your team. On any team with Roy and no superstar, Roy is the most prominent number one option. Especially if he is healthy, the team becomes dependent on his talent in that role. The probability, however, is that he won't stay healthy. This is like building a sinkhole into the foundation of a building. It's just dumb.
And that's just on the court. The chemistry of the team is similarly pulled into orbit around Roy, and the health of his knees, and his attitude about his playing time, and all manner of other things.
Pass.

Roy implied Miller wasn't the ideal point guard, but later apologized. That's really all I know about.

Re: How much for Roy?
If he plays 25 minutes a game at around 5 million, with his skill level, I would say that is worth the risk. I just couldnt pass up that talent for cheap even with the injury risk.
Rubio(28)/Ridnour(20)/Lee
Roy(25)/Wes(23)/Ellington
Beasley(30)/Williams(18)/Webster/Lazar
Love(35)/Williams(10)/Randolph(3)
Darko(20)/Randolph(20)/Pek and Tolly split the rest
Sucks because Tolly, Pek, Webster, Players I really like, won't see any minutes. Darko has shown he is pretty frail.

I don't believe any of that. He probably won't stay healthy, he probably won't play alot of minutes. But he won't become the focal point or foundation either. He's guy who you hope will give you a few quality minutes at a position of need.

If we'd consider bidding on Roy, I wonder if we'd also consider taking a look at Michael Redd.

Seriously? Brandon Roy is a star, or was. More importantly, he probably believes he can still be a star. There would be big expectations on the court and media pressure off the court. It would be a real distraction.
