Lazar and his representatives had spoke to me often about his future here vis a vis playing time. I promised them last year if we didn't see a clear path to playing time that we'd do our best to find a new home for him so he could advance his career. I felt it'd be very difficult for him to playing meaningful minutes this year. In Malcolm's case, we see a young player who probably was a little undervalued in the draft and could be important part of our future for the next several years. I wanted to make sure that we locked up the third year and thought it was a fair exchange to have him in our program minimum of three years.

This is another good move by Kahn.Trading Lazar for two second round picks.Ya Khan has made bad deals in the past and will due so in the future but overall he has done more good deals then bad i.e getting Beasley for two 2nd picks from the Heat,drafting Ricky Rubio,signing a different good back up PG every year with Sessions,Ridnour and now Barea...ect

Please, enlighten me to these bad deals Kahn has made.
