Pau Gasol would be brilliant. I really hope in the offseason the Lakers pursue Howard as a FA and trade Pau for garbage (E.g. Ridnour, A Randolph, 1st round pick). He has a big fat contract and has not been playing so great lately, but it is undeniable he's a top 10 big man, borderline allstar even with such a bad start to the season. He can play both PF and C.

Kevin Love/Pau Gasol/Nikola Pekovic would put Minny in the top5 interior rotations of the league. Not great defensively, but would beast offensively. Pau is an underrated defender, he is no doubt above average.

E.g. K Love/Pau Gasol for 18 minutes
Pau Gasol/Pekovic for 12 minutes
K Love/Pekovic for 18 minutes

I think he is the best that could be available, he would also bring leadership and experience to a very young team.

Who needs a better center next to Love when we have Beas, Wes, Webster, Ellington, and Tolliver knockin it down from the outside???
Flip response to Love wanting out, "He has no reason to be upset, you're either a part of the problem or a part of the solution"

Lol, spot on. Even a Darko/Miller combo would be decent enough if all other positions were covered :)

If only we could rewind back to the 2010 draft.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
