Its just a rumor odds are we want Bynum not Gasol. Im still torn on Williams playing sf full time but he does show promise at pf.

Lets talk about selling low on Beasley or Wes or Darko, but leave DW out of this BUST crap. What exactly would your rather have done with him before the draft that would magically put us in a better place right now. Or better yet, what would you deal him for right now?

If I could deal him for Batum I would. If I could deal him so that we could get Lamb or Beal I would. Besides that, the deal would have to be sweet. Personally, I wanted to draft Jonas since I thought that guy will be awesome and the fit was great

I don't think dealing the #2 for a pick in next years draft was realisic, it was viewed as a poor draft going in and with a looming lockout there was no way to assure us a pick high enough to net Lamb (probably top 7ish? to get either). I would have loved Jonas too, but for Kahn it would have been a PR nightmare after waiting for Rube. Personally I wanted Burks, but he dropped big time.

*edit*
Batum is just like DW in that he's shown little but is loaded with the P-word. Only difference is that Batum is looking for a payday of reportedly $8-12M. And with that happening this coming offseason, it just gives us the first chance to bargain with him. Again, unrealistic.

I meant trade him after the season, or preferably on draft day so that we know we are getting Lamb or Beal. And Batum has been pretty good this year. Not awesome, but id pay him 8 mill a year

the 2012 Draft is likely going to feature a ton of SF/PF and stretch players that it wouldn't make too much sense to draft Lamb or Beal when you can get someone on a new rookie deal though. Unless Beal or Lamb drop harshly, its just not realistic.

He has been objectively terrible. He was drafted to shoot and he has shot terribly. I understand the impulse to give him more playing time to boost his confidence, allow him to shoot his way out of it etc. But on a pure "earning playing time" basis, he's miles behind Pekovic and clearly behind Beasley too.

I'd rather have Williams out there over Beasley. yes, Williams has struggled shooting, but that hasn't stopped Adelman from sitting Wes or Ridnour. And Williams brings more to the table than Beasley does IMO.

It's still early, but I still think he's going to develop into a very good player. Hopefully he'll do that as a timberwolf.

There is no point in tanking, the pick doesnt belong to the team. Adelman wants to win
