Shrug. He's a bottom 1 offensive center, so it's pretty neutral at best.
Well I agree he's a terrible starter with awful offense. But it's not neutral if he's a defensive stopper off the bench. Dwight Howard had problems scoring with Darko in for crying out loud. That's worth $5 mil off the bench for 18 minutes a game for a playoff team all day. There aren't many anti-Bynum/Howard/Pekovics out there ;)


I don't know if it's worth arguing that much about Darko, but he's not a defensive stopper. I'd rather trade him or amnesty him for cap space and pick up a cheaper bench guy or a project center in the draft (buy a high 2nd rounder or whatever) than keep him around to be mostly ineffective.

If we want to get rid of Darko we will have to amnesty him. I love the premise of the trade and something like it could work. I don't know if they would want Johnson maybe expirings who knows.
