Dwight Howard had problems scoring with Darko in for crying out loud. That's worth $5 mil off the bench for 18 minutes a game for a playoff team all day. There aren't many anti-Bynum/Howard/Pekovics out there ;)Esohny wrote:Narf wrote:Am I the only one who thinks Darko being a top 15 defensive center on a reasonable contract gives him value as a role player off the bench?
Shrug. He's a bottom 1 offensive center, so it's pretty neutral at best.
I don't know if it's worth arguing that much about Darko, but he's not a defensive stopper. I'd rather trade him or amnesty him for cap space and pick up a cheaper bench guy or a project center in the draft (buy a high 2nd rounder or whatever) than keep him around to be mostly ineffective.
