Its funny because without Barea tonight you guys would look worse than the Bobcats.
Outside of Peko, Rubio and Love, this isn't a very talented roster in comparison with other teams that are actually contending, and Rubio and Love are out. So what do you expect Barea to do? He has to score, he's the best perimeter scorer on the roster right now with Love out.
This whole theory of PG's not allowed to score is flawed. A PG who's good at scoring doesn't make him a bad passer necessarily.
You're judging this guy based on a small sample size of games where he's just coming off an injury.
Anyone who's an athlete here would understand whats it like to play coming back from an injury.
Barea has always been a good passer his entire career and especially in Dallas where he was devasting off the pick and roll whether it was passing or scoring.
With Love, Rubio and Luke out, the 2nd best passer on the team right now is Brad Miller....not too many ball movers on this team, so the offense won't ever be good till Rubio and his magic returns.

Co sign here.
If not for Barea this would be a terrible blowout loss. M. Lee is not an nba point guard yet.

Will someone please tell Adelman that we don't have our pick this year, so we don't have to tank.
it's gotta feel bad being DW seeing those minutes in a lost game in a lost season....good god
It's got to feel bad if you're Kahn and Adelman and you're number two pick looks like he's just going through the motions when he does play and doesn't show any desire to earn playing time.
We have three healthy guys that look like they actually give a damn out there -- Barea (granted he's often annoying and terrible), Tolliver, and Ellington. When you're going 0-for-April, I think you have to play the guys that are at least going to hustle and be a little scrappy out there.
I agree with the Krap man (and Adelman).

He could start for the Nets after Deron goes to Dallas
Knicks, if they lose Lin, which I doubt
Lakers if they somehow don't retain Sessions
Suns but Nash is probably going back
Mavericks but they're probably getting Deron and Kidd back
Hornets
Blazers
Those are all teams that I feel Barea could start for.
Barea has had superb numbers in the games he have started. Even better than Rubios or Luke. So he defenetly can start in an NBA team. Only downside is his defense and TO - which is a bid deal also. I came to this team originally because of Rubio, so no bias bashing here. Just cant understand all the hate for the little guy in this forum.

Barea has the numbers to be a starting PG in this league, but lacks the size or playing style.
He will ALWAYS be better in a reserve role.

I agree with what Klomp said, and Barea and his agent also probably saw that, and signed with the Timberwolves. But maybe we could get lucky with a team and get them to think otherwise is what i was going for.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
