Derrick Williams for Tristan Thompson

I thought turnover's idea was interesting too, and wanted to bring it over:

Both guys are not performing up to their draft status Both could use a chane of scenery.

Cavs get more offense next to AV.

Wolves get a defensive minded guy to compement Love and Pekovic. Thompson also has some size to play some backup center.

It doesn't really fill a need. Cunningham is better than Thompson, but he might be more useful than Williams.

I'd do that any day of the week. Just don't think CLE would.

I'd rather trade for Kanter though.

Do you think there's any chance Utah would do that?

Right. The value is fine, but it's not the position that I'd be looking to upgrade if the Wolves traded Williams.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Unnecessary move. We need wing upgrades rather than another backup PF.

Apparently TT can play center though. If he can play center, i would do this. If he can't, well, then i wouldnt (i dont watch many cavs games)

Our backup centers are putrid players so that position is an area of need. Thompson guarded Pek well last game. If he can do a good job on Pek then he can guard any center.

I'd trade Williams for a bucket of paint chips right now.

Any Williams trade should be for a SG or bust, IMO. Unless we get a clear win in trading him for a player at another position, which is doubtful. SG is clearly our biggest hole.
