This works on the trade machine.
MN: In: M.Gasol, J.J. Reddick
Out: Pekovic, Williams, Barea, Ridnour
MEM: In: Pekovic, Barea
Out: Gasol
ORL: In:Williams, Ridnour
Out: Reddick
Maybe toss in a couple picks/trade exceptions or whatever you have to, to get things straightened out, but the framework for the deal is here, it would make the starting lineup better.
Rubio/Shved/Lee
Reddick/Shved/Lee
AK/Reddick
Love/Cunningham
Gasol/Steamer
Needs work, but as an 8 man lineup, would it be better than the lineup they have now?

No reason for the Grizzlies to move Gasol.

Yep. I'd certainly trade for the younger Gasol, but Memphis wouldn't.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

M.Gasol is a pretty underrated passing big on a team with lots of scorers.

Gasol would be amazing, but no way Memphis trades him. He's the 2nd or 3rd best center in the NBA, IMO.

What if we included a draft pick this year, and a protected pick next year. If we do that, I'd like to throw in Brandon Roy's expiring to try to pry Tony Allen from them too. Memphis is a small market, and they are over the luxury tax threshold, so they could consider it. Especially with Roy being expiring.

Tony Allen and Brandon Roy are both expiring contracts. Basically they'd be trading a working Toyota for a lemon. Also they have developed great chemistry with their core. I really can't imagine them wanting to shake up their roster when they are the 3rd team in the West.

I would love this, Gasol and Redick are two of my favourite non-Wolves. Memphis and Orlando would both hang up pretty quickly on this, though

This Gasol would certainly help us, but there is no way they trade him...

Re: MN-MEM-ORL
I don't think you'd get much complaints from ORL. Reddick a $6.2 mil expiring, and since they are tied to Afflalo, I doubt they are keeping Reddick next year. In fact, you might get them to attach the rights to Fran Vazquez - though they are probably worthless.
MEM is tougher. I was a little surprised when they matched a max deal offer to Marc Gasol, since the micro-market team has avoided the lux a lot. Maybe new management is loosening the reighns a bit, but even with all the winning they are doing, I read they are still losing money. They are also only $4 mil over the lux. If they could cut $4 mil in payroll, it'd save them maybe $11 million dollars (which is why you hear rumors about Rudy Gay being available every so often).
I don't think getting Marc is likely, but I certainly would keep talking with Memphis. Don't forget they sent ouff a bigger star -- his brother -- to save money. The fact that we own the MEM pick give us a little bit more leverage.

I think they'll find a better way to fix their finances than trading Marc. He's just too important piece of the puzzle, I don't see any C in the league fitting their system better.

Well, I guess we can dream, lol
He would be the perfect fit, out of all the centers out there.

Re: MN-MEM-ORL
No Wolves fan or executive would even hesitate here. You take this deal and run for your life.
There's no way Memphis will do that deal. Not just because they would destroy, or at least be threatened to destroy their chemistry but also what would they want with Pek? He is a low post scorer just like Z-Bo. Gasol can at least hit the J and give Randolph some space to operate.
