I didn't look into contracts or anything, but why wouldn't we just do a three team trade sending the guys mentioned to WAS still, and then sending Nene to Portland and taking Matthews? Then we wouldn't have to make the meaningless trade for Nene and deal Pek.

I'm not positive on how Portland views this, but trading the current league ironman for an injury prone center after having Roy and Oden both have their careers killed by injuries is just a bad PR move and a slap in the face of karma.
