Big Al was traded a week after that draft, he was already on his way out long before that, because Taylor didn't want to pay his salary. The only centers on the roster at that time were Darko, Hollins and Jawai, none of which were even rotation material. So the center position was definitely a need

I don't think it had anything to do with his salary. Kahn chose Darko (and Love) over Jefferson, and we had also just signed Pek.

Anyway, Pek for Cousins is ridiculous. I probably wouldn't take Cousins for free right now.

Of course. It'd only be for a mix of Williams, Roy, Amundson, Barea, Stiemsma, Memphis 1st though.

He is a great talent, very young guy and if he get's it together he will be dominant force in the future... but that is a big if... right now I would not like him on this team.

I hope the wolves would never trade for Cousins. He's lived up to the worst fears everyone had about him going into the draft.

But for Pekovic? No way. I was thinking more like Williams as a starting point.

it would be amazing if cousins could come off the bench, but...

I think Greg Oden looks more like us.
Plus, he can meet again with his friend, Brandon.

Great, more voodoo knee spells coming our way.
