Hypothetical froncourt situation.

Post#1 » by NewWolvesOrder » Wed Dec 26, 2012 12:00 am

Lets say our FO decides that the Love/Pek combo is not going to works long term due to lack oh defense, length and athleticism. Lets say they have deals on the table like DWill/Pek for Vareajo or Love for Ibaka and assets. Which direction would you prefer?

I'd rather do Love for Ibaka and assets. If the assets include Jeremy Lamb, it's an easy deal for me.

Ibaka is way younger then AV, while being a near perfect fit next to Pek / with Rubio.

I'd rather keep Love and PEK, thank you.

Varejao's rebounding is redundant next to Love, he's older than PEK and injury prone. Moreover trading for him now is buying at the highest point, silly from the value-based POV.

Ibaka is a much worse player than Love, so even going there is dumb. That ship has sailed with the Harden trade.

Could you please stay away from posting in the thread if the HYPOTHETICAL trade of either Love or Pek is too much for you to accept.

I would go with this option as well. I'd like the Raptors pick included as well.

Trading Love to a division rival with Westbrook & KD would be a tough pill to swallow.

I'm with Rocka, I couldn't handle seeing Love/KD/Westbrook. For that reason alone I'd go with Love/AV.

Pek is not nearly the player that Kevin Love is, on the court, or for marketing purposes. It's too hard for MIN to attract superstars that they can't be trading down in favor of less talented players plus additional assets. But if that's your question, Love >> Pek.

Personally, I'd prefer they keep them both, and find a starter-level PF/C that can play with each.
