Yep we just need that 2 or 3 pick ( the league won’t give us back to back number 1)
And get Jalen Green, splash brothers in twin cities...

I think with Edwards’ start, LaMelo deserves the award.

That said, it’s always bothered me that we have come to embrace per game stats. I agree that the “best ability is availability,” and here, Edwards had more rebounds and steals than LaMelo. These extra rebounds and steals are real things - they affect real NBA games.

In addition, these types of per game stats don’t factor in how much damage a good player does by missing games. For example, Edward played 72 games. In the 21 that Melo missed, how much worse was his effect on the team, playing a Wizards back up in those minutes?

Can we change the thread Title to “Media Bias Prevails”?

Lamelo is rookie of the year over a whole season consistency wise and having more polished ready gwme off the gate. But that's immaterial to me, because if after all star break is the norm, then the better player going forward is easily Edwards.

Ant post all star break is legit Donovan Mitchell level take over young star. Looks like a franchise ready player. While lamelo is full of skill moves and has nice well rounded game, but is yet to look like a bona-fide star who takes over and dominates, something Ant has shown in spades, baby Wade style going for him. He has the attitude, athleticism and the killer instinct to execute and take over games. That's priceless.
