But doesn’t this sound like the same refrain about Towns now that we already heard about Wiggins? Played A disappoints me, so we need to trade him immediately, often for some shiny flash in the pan? I do not consider Towns to be Wiggins, but people are mad, so they go with the tunes they know.
I think that's a disingenuous hand wave of some valid arguments people have made in regards to trading Towns to be honest.
Outside of a few people carrying pitchforks, I think the majority of those arguing in favour of, or suggesting, a Towns trade aren't doing so because they're mad at him or think he's a bad player. Most of the arguments I've read are stating that Town's archetype is a difficult one to successfully build around, and that we've struggled to get it right with him being part of the core during his time here.
