Small piece of good news. “ I feel better than I thought I was going to feel,” Towns said, via the Minneapolis Star Tribune’s Chris Hine.”

I almost forgot. Finch tried out a lineup tonight I really like. He used V8 at the SF with Reid and Towns. Add Ant at the SG and this as close to big ball as we can play. If any of you advanced stat guys can help me I would love to know how that lineup performed. I still think V8 is a natural SF (pretty sure he played it in college,) and would be even more effective if he was guarded by a 3 instead of a 4.

Bad team? Wizards are second in the eastern conference and have the leagues 5th best record.

This plus, Vando, Ant, and Nowell all have the flu. We looked 1/2 or more steps slow because we were tonight. We kept it close until things fell apart end of game, that isn’t easy to do when KAT and Dlo both have bad and inefficient games. Worse still your missing MCD who despite his struggles is still a solid defender and badly needed size. You guys saw how their bigs (Harrell) just torched us in the paint. All in all we did well to keep it close on a night that just didn’t feel like it was going to be ours. Losing by less than 10 when Dlo goes 3-18 and 1-12 is an accomplishment in and off itself.

Honestly I'm going on them being the Wizards who are always a bad team. So they have been playing well so far this year. I expect that to NOT continue. They are still the Wizards.

People say that about the Wolves. Not to mention people kept saying that about the Suns last year and the Bucks the year they turned things around. How long was Philly bottom of the league before they got good?

When people say that about the Wolves they are far more often right than wrong. I don't see the talent on the Wiz to sustain winning basketball. Do you?

Beal, Harrel, Hachimura, and more, they aren’t as bad as you might think. Granted they are at the mercy of guys like Kuzma and Pope who are inconsistent, but they could easily compete in the east for middle of the pack or at least play in.

Beal yes and Harrell pretty good too. IMO that's the end of the talent.
