They're just not playing with enough energy tonight. The defensive rotations are way too slow - too much ball watching.

They hit their open 3s we didn’t. They dropped 25 3s on us at 51% whereas we hit 17/40 for 42.5%. Some of it was defense, but most of it what was momentum and insane confidence. They had guys like G who were 4/17 on the season go 3/4 (3 in a row before a miss,) and guys like TLC who hit 9 all year drop 7 of 14. Got shot out of the gym.

The shooting woes with our team are still baffling.

Not baffling just sad. KAT is hyper efficient on most nights, but nobody else is. Tonight Ant went for 6/19 from the field and 2/6 from 3. Beasley replaced Dlo’s production with a great night (much more efficient than his usual and Dlo’a usual,) hitting 9/18 and 6/13 from deep. But, no one replaced Beasley’s usual production and outside of Naz with 10, no one else really stepped up. We have guys like Prince and JO who rarely score. Guys like MCD and Leo who are capable yet rarely do so. Guys like JMAC who are end of bench and have no reasonable expectation of scoring, and guys like V8 who should score a lot more but aren’t used correctly, (V8 is a cutter who could be a great roll man.)

All in all Finch’s organized chaos struggles from having too few scorers and most of the ones he does have being inconsistent. Also, we need to tweak our defense, we have become a bit to predictable and easy to gameplan.

That happens sometimes. Sucks when it does.

MIN opponents have not shot the three well up to this game, and that’s a combination of defense and … luck.

We were extremely unlucky last game, and ATL shot historically well from three.

I’m not going to panic.
