Wolves need to hit on the draft again and then they are really cooking something good. Wolves got Mcdaniels late in first and Nowell in second round before so hopefully they do their work and get impact players again. I like this draft better than the last two years.

When was this?

https://www.complex.com/sports/2019/03/****

"Get to the **** playoffs before you speak to me," Russ yelled at the two young players.

Although Minnesota went on to win the game by a score of 131-120 with Towns chipping in 41 points, Russ' comments might sting worse as the season winds down. Currently, the Timberwolves are sitting at the 10th seed in the West.

Obviously we’re not in the war room with these guys to see the decisions being made but I’m assuming most/all of the scouting department are still in place. If so, I’d feel comfortable that we’ll still be able to identify sleepers. Only time will tell though

Yep but still did dumb things like Passing on Herro for Culver and Bane for Bolmaro.

Those sort of moves happen to every GM in every draft though, really.

A lot of GM's missed out on guys like McDaniels, Nowell and Reid who've become key contributors for us on good deals. You win some you lose some, what matters is how impactful the wins are, and it feels like we've had a good few in that area.

Correct.

Westbrook's been a yappy wanker for years, he's finally getting his comeuppance here on an almost nightly basis and it's fantastic to watch. As far as the Wolves themselves, we've been labelled as soft, irrelevant marshmallows for years, and now that we're finally getting an edge and working towards being relevant people want to sook about it.

Memphis have the same kind of trash-talking edge going on and all I've heard about that is positive feedback. It's ridiculous.

Personally, I love it, long may it continue.

I continue to be frustrated that the Wolves only get attention for playing the Lakers, or when KAT literally has the NBA’s highest scoring game of the year. I know, it’s always like this, but the Wolves are 9-1, and the hottest team in the NBA, but national podcasts only want to talk about LAL/GSW or PHI/BRK.

In the future, I hope the team trolls every one of these big name teams.

Or lets draft Bronnie and get Lebron to finish his career as a wolf lol. Wolves would be the talk of the league.

Definitely frustrating, mind you I'm personally happy to stick to the local media/podcasts and we've got plenty of quality in that area.

I don't mind the trash talking - We all knew what PB was bringing when we got him. That irksome pest like behaviour that has the bonus of really getting to some players and putting them off. This kind of thing rubs off on the other guys, especially with a winning record.

KAT would be brimming with confidence right now. Finally having a winning record that isn't pretty much all credited to another player (Butler), just hit a 60 point game, and is playing some of the best ball he has ever played. Let him howl at the moon if he wants to

That, and this team is in great form, and with that comes the confidence and, to quote Ant, swag.

I love it.

People seem to forget people have been clowning KAT for years for being "soft" or "can't win without Jimmy" or "stat padder"..let him have his moment.

Right? The last few game threads have been like, "This sucks. That sucks. We're terrible, D'Lo is terrible, KAT's playing dumb, everything is lost.....AROOO!!!! WE WIN AGAIN!"

Y'know, for a group of people who've been waiting years for a competitive team, we sure are getting inured to success at a hyperlight speed. Can we focus on the good stuff while we've got it?

Amen, brother.

It is somewhat mind-blowing espeially after that 10 game losing stretch at the beginning of the year. That one really threw me for a loop. Finch blows up in the locker room and the team transforms right there. Amazing.

Pat Bev is the glue. No doubt. He's in Kat's ear and can chew Kat's azz and Kat listens. Last night was the perfect example. Kat killed it in the 4th.

Both of yours are terrific post too. The first one has two words and zero contribution and the last one one word more with the same contribution.

It's easy to write a cool empty sentence.

Lol, is there some previous beef between you and him?

To explain this randomly antagonistic post. Because him complimenting two posts he agrees with in brief way, is hardly a cause to have a dismissive go at him.

Talk about adding zero contribution using an empty sentence. I'm not sure what your issues are but I'd cut way back on those douchebag pills you've been taking.
