I don't think we will reach the heights of a contending/really good team this season but it is really great to see us respond and get a big win after two tough losses. This team keeps showing that the resiliency is a level above the wolves teams of the past, these are tangible signs of how far we have come.

This might sound crazy, but we are so wildly inconsistent we go from non playoff team to NBA championship level quarter by quarter. For example a 13 point lead at the half against the suns in the first half to a double digit loss in the second half. In Dallas we couldn’t make the open shots even when they were sweet spot for Prince and Dlo, yet tonight Dallas couldn’t make them and we could (to some degree.) When Dlo and Ant show up and support Towns, and when the bench plays up to their best level we can win any playoff series. The problem is these things don’t often happen at the same time. The best teams find the consistency that we lack. If Finch can channel the excitement and energy of the playoffs for this young Wolves team and scheme well enough to handle the increase in pressure and performance, I think we advance to the second round maybe even the WCF. But more likely, our inconsistency and lack of size catches us and we fall short.

I am not surprised by a 20+ point win at home.

I have a lot of respect for Luka, and several of the Mavs, but I think the Wolves are a better team right now.

I wouldn't want to play us in the playoffs Calinks. It wouldn't surprise me if we got to the 2nd round.

That Porzingis trade really set back Mavs...due to that trade, they have been unable to make use of Luka when he is still on a rookie contract.

He never stayed healthy. At least with the trade Dinwiddie has been big for them. Bertans contract is going to a problem, but at least it isn’t a max and he wasn’t always this bad.

The way everyone kept getting hit in the face you would
expect that pass to hit him in the down under. The stance was bizarre and the pass was on point.

That Bertans contract is really awful imo...that dude has a guaranteed salary of $17M even in 2023-24 season...it definitely won't be easy to get rid of him even next season with his current level of play

I can always tell how a game has gone by the length of these threads.

10+ pgs = bad loss
7-9 pgs = loss
4-7 pgs = win
<3 pgs = great win

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
