What a bunch of crybabies. We are the 7th seed that it's what we deserve.
We only need to win one of two games against teams with a much worse record. Until now we only faced regular season games, the team have to have a strong mentality and be concentrate. If we cannot win the Clippers, the Pels or Spurs it's better to take a look to the lottery and come back next year than be swept this year and out of the lotto.
It's funny how people talks wonders about Towns in RS but when you have a win or go home game all are worried about his performance.

Part of why so many were scared about dropping both play-in games was the possibility of facing the Lakers in the second game. That's no longer happening. The Pelicans are on a nice run, but look at who they've played...since the start of March, their wins are a lot of beating up on OKC, POR, SAC, SAS, HOU and LAL. And we're 2-0 against the Spurs with one more to go.

We are very inconsistent from game to game. Sometimes we play great defense, sometimes we play no defense. Sometimes our bench goes off, sometimes it cannot buy a bucket. Sometimes Dlo and Ant are awesome, sometimes they are missing in action, or worse an anchor that weighs us down. Single elimination games don’t favor inconsistent teams.
That said, I agree we need to win the first game and if not then we better win the second one.

I'm not putting it all on Towns, its really the team I am worried about. Towns can be taken out of the game (as LA and other teams have shown). Now that doesn't matter much when the other guys are stepping up and hitting open shots but if we are out here bricking and not playing defense it can be a disaster.
Worse comes to worse and we lose both game. I will be very upset but it wont be the end, we can come back much stronger next season with additional pieces. I think we have a great foundation and we just need to build it up.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

I like the play in rules, and while I wish we had earned 6th, odds are we didn’t. I can live with an elimination if we aren’t good enough to win 1 of 2 against teams with worse records. That said, it is worth noting that we were good enough in prior years to be a playoff team. 7 was for a long time a guaranteed in. I think we will be fine either way, but I do think we need to add size or radically change our entire defensive scheme.

Sorta like the Bubble Suns that went undefeated but didn't make the playoffs. Except we win the lottery and draft one of the top PF prospects and catapults us to Contenders right away next season

Apparently there is a really bad stomach bug going around the twin cities. Both me and brother got it last night (different households and different parts of town.) It has totally wiped both of us out. I hope to god our guys are some kind of protocol to avoid getting it this week. Half the team being week as kittens and unable to hold anything down would not help our post season chances.
