The International board thought this year, but most mocks have him in 2012.

Not really. Love measured out as an elite athlete; 35" max vert (Blake Griffin - 35.5"), 11.17 Lane Agility (Andre Iguodala - same), and 3.22 3/4 court sprint (Chris Paul - same). Obviously the measurements don't tell the whole story. The eye test, on the other hand, said before the 08 draft that Love was mediocre athletically and says now that Sullinger is similar.

I just found out the Gophers are 6 - 0 and beat UNC a week ago and Barnes went 0 for 12 from the field, sweet

Heres the question would you trade Rubio if we could get Irving(assuming best available)?

No. I wouldn't trade Rubio for anyone in the 2011 draft at this point.

I don't know what to think of this draft class. There doesn't seem to be any can't miss prospects so far like we have seen with Griffin, Rose, Wall, Durant, or even Oden (at least he was a can't miss prospect).

Yeah, all of the top prospects seem to have some kind of massive flaw. Barnes doesn't have a killer instinct, P Jones' IQ is questionable, Irving seems good but not great, Knight is a step slow, Sullinger seems unathletic, etc.

I wonder, if Flynn gets moved does anyone think they might take another point guard to develop behind Ridnour and eventually replace him?

Barnes does not have a massive flaw, come on.

This is a great draft, blows the last one out of the water.

I didn't realize Irving was born in Australia. I got to say that he's pretty solid and consistent. I still would rather have Rubio over Irving, but we can always flip him.

To be honest. This years draft was pretty mediocre so far.

Not that they were drafted in 2010, but I thought Pekovic and Splitter would have been so much better. I still haven't given up on my Vazquez obsession though. The NBA might just have 3 players to win "Rookie of the Year" from the 2009 draft class.

does the coming lockout mean that players will be more likely to return to college or internationals stay another year in europe? i would certainly think it does meaning it will be a very weak draft and the following(when our pick goes :( ) will be very, very strong.

He's Australian?

In that case, Irving>Rubio

My Top 5
1.Kyrie Irving
2.Terrence Jones
3. Jared Sullinger
4. Harrison Barnes
5.Perry Jones

Thats just 3-5 can all be switched around especially the way Sullinger has played lately

Kanter, Valcuinas, vesely, Motiejunas......

Some of these European talents will factor into the top 10, if not all of them, and some maybe top 5.

Donatas Motiejunas is on FIRE lately in Europe and could be a top 5 pick if this kind of play keeps up.

Enes Kanter- Even though he's not playing for Kentucky (yet)...6"11 well built and polished. Hopefully he will coem back and show his talents for Kentucky...top 5 pick very probable.

Jan Vesely- recovering from a recent injury, is starting to get back to his form. He's a 6"11 player who can play the inside outside game, great leaper. Potential is very high. I could see him going like 3-12 in the draft.

Jonas Valancuinas- He's on FIRE lately in europe, scoring a ton. Drawing comparisons to Andrea Bargianni.

4 pretty good bigs from Europe.

Hoopsworld did an article on a player named Julyan Stone about a week ago and he looks like an interesting prospect for this system.

He's a 6-7 senior "point" guard who's currently averaging 10ppg, 7rpg, 4apg, 2TOpg, 2spg and 1bpg. He's shooting 50% from the floor and while 10ppg seems low, he's only averaging 6 FGAs a game but he's getting to the line 5 times a game while shooting a healthy 80%. However, he's only shooting 14% from 3pt range, which is Brewer bad, but maybe that's something that's improvable.

Honestly, I haven't been able to watch him play yet and draftexpress doesn't even have a page on him, but reading that article made me intrigued. He looks a little like Darrington Hobson, at least stats wise, and if Brewer is gone maybe he could make a capable replacement.

Harrison Barnes - I know he is getting alot of slack so far for not producing but I think he will be fine. UNC are not using him the best way he can be used and I think once he puts on some muscle he will be a stud as a shooting guard in the NBA. Would love to see a Rubio/Barnes/Johnson/Love/Darko starting unit with Beasely/Flynn/Webster offensive machine coming off the bench.

Kenneth Faried -A senior who I think would be good value around the end of the first round (Which is where I expect the Utah pick to fall). He is athletic and ready to play now and would provide run and energy off the bench. He would be a good power forward to match next to Pekovic in the second unit and gives a different look then Love.
"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."

Which is really not a good thing at all as far as NBA prospects go.
