most of the Philly posters seems okay w/ a foundation of Iggy for Wes. If the Wolves can roll out Rubio/Iggy/Beasley/Love/Bogut, cant really argue w/ that right? At least until 8 games in when we're ravaged by injuries

As opposed to this year? But, yes, give me that lineup please. I'd rather take my chances with injuries if it means adding a couple quality vets who play defense.

Someone on the trade board suggested 4 (Biyombo) and Varejao for 2 (+Darko or Pekovic for salary purposes).

Would we be able to do that deal and still swing a Johnson + Darko/Pekovic for Iggy deal? We could throw in Randolph or Tolliver, too.

If so,

Biyombo/Varejao
Love/Tolliver(Randolph)
Beasley/Iggy
Iggy/Webster
Rubio/Ridnour

looks pretty good to me. We add to high upside boom-or-bust types in Rubio and Bismack while also adding 2 very solid defensive veterans.

Edit: Pretty sure that it works financially as long as Cleveland takes back Darko or Pekovic (which might even make it more likely on their end).

Hmm, just for kicks, I looked up Bogut and Darko. This year Bogut played 65 games and averaged 12.8/11.1/+19.6 eff. Darko played 69 games and averaged 8.8/5.2/+10.9 eff. Bogut averages 61 games per year, Darko averages 54 games per year. Bogut is 7 months older than Darko.

I think his age and injury concerns are overstated.

By the way, love the idea. Was talking to Funk about this scenario a while back.

AV, Love, SCB, Iggy, Rubio with Bismack and stuff we didn't trade to get Iggy coming off the bench. I likes.

Have to laugh at that sig. That's funny stuff.

Rather trade Beasley for Iggy, but I would trade Johnson + filler (Flynn, Pek) for him.

Can Bogut even play uptempo for +30 minutes without aggravating any of his injuries?

No one wants Beasley, he will remain the reclamation project of your organization. Iguodala for #2 or get out!

I'd love to get Monta for the #2. Or Bogut or Bynum. Bogut is probably the only real possibility

The Wolves very well could trade that No. 2 overall pick for a veteran(s) and/or a pick later in the lottery.

Kahn said he and his staff will have to discuss if such a young team should get younger still.

"Is there a tipping point where you're too young, where it's just not right," he said. "I won't say the draft pick won't be used."
