Re: Iowa Wolves/G League talk
Guys, I really like Amile Jefferson. I think he has a chance to be a Gibson type player.

Re: Iowa Wolves/G League talk
Any reason we aren't using our second two-way contract? Jefferson would have been nice to bring up during the current Dieng/Aldrich absence.

Re: Iowa Wolves/G League talk
With Teague out, is there any chance to see Melo Trimble in NBA game? Also why don't use MGH as a dedicated defender at PG/SG/SF?

Re: Iowa Wolves/G League talk
You guys are really asking why we don't use our 15 and/or 16th men on the roster? You do know Thibs is coach right? We don't use the 11th man so it would be tough to get to two way guys or call ups

Is Patton back and playing with these guys yet?
"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."

Re: Iowa Wolves/G League talk
A few interesting numbers on this page:
http://www.draftexpress.com/clubhouse/Iowa-Wolves-7868/roster
1) Anthony Brown scores 20 ppg, 46% FG, 39% 3s. Dont know how he defends tho'
2) Elijah Millsap shoots 38% 3s on 6 attempts (same numbers as Anthony Brown). He was labeled as an excellent defender. I wonder if he can hit open 3s in NBA and defend on perimeter
3) Amile Jefferson scores 17 ppg and grabs 14 rpg

Re: Iowa Wolves/G League talk
I would seriously consider calling up one or both of Millsap and Brown.

Brown I feel was also considered a good defender when he played on the Lakers. Think it wouldn't hurt to call up one of those guys to see if they can give our bench a spark.

Yeah, I think that if one of them MGH or Brown can crack out rotation he can save this season. Because they are good fit in position of need.

Patton blocks a dunk and then rim runs. To bad our guards only look for themselves.

Another good block from the weakside.
He looks slow, but it should be expected since he was off for so long.

Re: Iowa Wolves/G League talk
In his debut Patton looked better on defense than I expected. He seemed to have decent awareness and was in position to contest shots in the paint. He ended up with 4 blocks in 16 minutes and on a couple of those he was able to secure the ball. He also looked like he was making an effort to find his man and box out which is something that the Wolves sometimes lack at the NBA level. I really liked my first view of him on the defensive side of the ball.
On offense he looked like a guy playing his first professional game. His outside shot looked pretty bad with every jumper ending up barely getting to the front of the rim. I did like that he was looking to dunk the ball when in traffic and he finished a couple of nice plays at the rim. He also looked good at the free throw line going 5-5 with a good looking stroke.

Re: Iowa Wolves/G League talk
He's clearly not all the way back yet, as should be expected. Trust me, this is only the beginning!
