Re: Butler has requested a trade (Part II)
Ira Winderman(a Miami beat writer) went on the radio today in Miami and he basically said, it's not Minnesota wanting too much, it's the offers have been so low. Jimmy Butler is one of the top players in the league and the offers they're getting are not even close to fair. For instance, if Washington offered Porter the Timberwolves would probably do it, Porter is not anything close to as good as Butler but that's the kind of offers they can expect.
On Miami trading for Butler...
Yesterday he though 80% chance, today... 50%.

I hope jimmy has a coatKGdaBom wrote:Butler has reportedly said he won't play until he's traded. If he does that he is totally playing into the wolves hands because they can continue waiting on trading him without having to pay him. If he reports the wolves are just going to send him home to keep KAT happy and they would have to pay Butler as well.

Re: Butler has requested a trade (Part II)
Honestly, if you think about it rationally, holding out so he can get traded to be eligible for the super Max, may be worth it financially. He gonna get that lost income back quickly. Fining butler doesn't do anything to help the Wolves on the courtKGdaBom wrote:Butler has reportedly said he won't play until he's traded. Kevin O’Connor said on Bill Simmons pod today that he was told Wolves asked in counter-offer for Ben Simmons, about 5:30 min mark

At least the Vikings are on tonight, so I can get Jimmy Butler off my mind for 3 hours.

I watched Sunday, and I wonder if they are more likely to show up than Butler?

He will probably be at the game with his football.

He can't and won't refuse to play because he wouldn't be fulfilling the terms of his contract and wouldn't become a free agent.
It's being reported that he won't report.

Maybe he can play some defensive back for us? What else does he have to do with his time, anyway?

Then you call his bluff if the offers are as bad as people think.

Re: Butler has requested a trade (Part II)
Why would my tweet be deleted?
I'll try again. I think the Waiters + Hassan trade scenario is speculation.
Woj and others have been reporting Dragic as the main guy heading to Minnesota, and it's well known Minnesota wanting Josh Richardson included in the trade. Hassan and Waiters trade value is dirt, while I don't believe Minnesota has great leverage (although with Miami you have more than is actually being said due to Miami's lack of cap space), I doubt they've had serious talks regarding Whiteside and Waiters.

Do not trade Jimmy for Waiters/Whiteside..i'd rather let Jimmy walk than take on those two players.

I hate the thought, but your delivery softened the blow.

It makes him sound less toxic. What's he supposed to say "Oops, i did it again, destroyed another locker room."?
