Nowell needs to be on ball in the half court with the second unit. McLaughlin can play off ball. He’s much more comfortable getting lots of touches and coming off the dribble. Looked like a natural.

He played like he plays in the g league when he was finally given a shot to play the role he did in the g league.

How will Jedzz feel if Nowell takes McLaughlin's spot in the rotation?

Wow that was fun. It helps that shot were falling and Nowell looked like prime Steph Curry. But the team played solid D after the first few minutes too. Active. Helping off nonshooters. Walling up on drives.

I agree that IF he continues to play like this, Nowell has to be on ball with the second unit.

Hell of a game from Nowell and I am impressed but the key is replicating this type of play. He has more games balling like this and his stock goes way up in my book. He has a chance to get in Finch's good graces with play like tonight.

I'm pretty sure he hated the win when both of his heroes were not playing and all the bobos ended up being right.

He stepped his defense up. Was active, getting some deflections, big improvement over the first half where he got abused on D.

I'm pretty sure you had to change your pants after "that one game" LesGrossman.

lol you two. You want me to feel bad when the players stuck on the bottom of this heap of junk for all this time, one of the players i supported against all the front runners since the beginning go and have a good game. Nowell is the trade hopeful du jour I guess, finally given 28 minutes in a game and he does what I told everyone he would be capable of. His only other game of at least 25 minutes he shot 56/75/100 end of February. He's only finally getting some burn because none of this other junk is playable or tradeable. Hilariously, they got him on this hinkie like deal that assures no matter how good he plays this team won't get much in return for him. I suppose they can attach him to someone overpaid to move two players. Maybe that's the plan this year. Too bad they can't just use their players correctly from the start and reap some of the benefits for more wins more often. Nope, this is the Timberwolves.

Is this how a Les Grossman hides from the fact his hero Rubio shot 17% this game? 1-6 FG. 0-2 from 3. Give JMac that starting point role and Rubio's 27 minutes and now you have someone who can score and distribute. But this isn't about building the best team. This has always been about playing favorites, eh Grossman. Btw, guess why Rubio is playing in this meaningless game. He's the one with a contract with enough size to get something done in a trade. Don't get angry with me if it happens.

It would be hilarious to see all of AIJ's one liner hate plugs on him all listed together in sequential order.

If only you and Ralnor could tell everyone when they plan to give him 25+ minutes so we would know when to bother watching.

Keeping that info to yourselves is kind of greedy.

Here's a fun fact considering this roster makeup to start the season.
Check ESPN's boxscore. (because I'm only reading boxscores these days)

They only have one SG listed playing for Wolves this game. Nowell. Rubio listed as PG. Everyone else is a Forward or Center.

1-3-1 ? 4-1? Looks like we are on overall plan #3 only two years in. Let's hope it holds beyond the trade deadline.

I am wondering when Towns is going to get himself in the gym at night and start practicing his 3s again. 2 of 10. It's been his one weakness this season besides not playing. We know him more as an automatic 40%. Rust needs scraping.
