Of course it was heavily influenced! His FTA’s nearly doubled this playoffs, and it wasn’t because he was trying to get to the line - he was actively trying to avoid it. It was because opposing coaches targeted him, with his 34.2% FT shooting.

He’s gotten worse and worse, each of his three playoffs. Why would this change? His FT problems aren’t about his workload (he worked slightly fewer minutes this last series). Those problems are with his head.

Moreover, if he was going to fix his shooting, it should have come by now. I don’t think you can wish his shooting problems away, even if you love his defensive abilities. Sometimes prices go down because the value goes down, when buyers realize the product has serious flaws that aren’t likely fixable.

To me Simmons playoff FT% is irrelevant. Too small a sample size. His regular season % is relevant and it's not good. However, with Simmons on the floor The 76ers outscored the Hawks in all games, but one. In that game it was even. Simmons wasn't a problem for the 76ers he was a solution.

If it was irrelevant then Philly wouldn't be looking to trade him. I would say it's pretty damn relevant.

McKinley Wright and Taurean Price … they likely ease moving any combo of McL/Okogie/Culver/Layman/Juancho.

Still gotta figure out the interior defense.

Eh, there's always been questions about his fit with Embiid

Would love to have Patty Mills on the squad, still one of the better back up guards in the league. But don't know why he would come here, think he'll get a deal for more then $10M a year and would rather go to a contender if he leaves the Spurs.

But really don't see him leaving the Spurs as he's the last tie to their championship era team, been a Spur for a decade now and Pop loves him.Plus need to keep someone left as a vet and in the leadership role of the young team with Derozan & Gay leaving.

obviously Wolves won't be his first preference for sure...if any of the big market teams are gonna offer him money which is even remotely close to what Wolves can offer, then he'll definitely not choose Wolves...just hoping that there isn't enough market for him so that Wolves can grab him...not many teams have enough cap to offer him significant money. I wouldn't be surprised if any of Heat, Mavs, Sixers try to sign him if they don't get Lowry

I would still love to have him but really think Rosas & Finch want to run with Nowell as the backup PG and in his short stint in that role last season did pretty well.Think the Wolves need to focus all their efforts in free agency and via trade in the 4 spot which we badly need a starting caliber player and back up.

Russell/Nowell/McLaughlin is a fine enough trio at PG.

I wanted him badly to sign as FA after the Butler trade
more of a short SG than a PG, but thats fine with a ball dominant wing like Butler
would have been way better fit than Teague

If Philly wanted to trade him he would be traded. They want to trade him for a superstar package. They aren't stupid. They know Simmons is a great player.

Would absolutely love Patty on our team but don't think it's very likely.

Not just a sound NBA level back-up guard but a really decent human and team-mate.

This is kinda where I'm at. I think a Nowell/Bolmaro reserve backcourt is intriguing.

:sigh:

Might as well commit to not making the playoffs now.

That's probably one of the worst point guard lineups in the league. Orlando an Detroit is worse, and that's it I think.
