Strong move by Finch to send Gobert home, in such an important game.

Culture move trumping even one critical game.

Too much drama for one game. I am glad it was a happy ending. A great setup for the sequel too. Will the Eiffel Tower collapse under its own weight? Seatbelt save lives but can it save the hand? Will Harry come back as a season series?

Has this been confirmed? Or still just speculation?

Speculation. I was just being dramatic.

Both of you relax

And here I am expecting nothing less than a broken wrist due to key player punching the wall out of sheer frustration.
This franchise just never lets you relax about anything.

Also this has "knuckle push ups" written all over it

They all kind of forget.

When ppl talk about trading Towns, I believe it has less to do with his offensive ability and more so everything else that contributes to team chemistry.

We know he’s efficient but his unnecessary fouls render his efficiency useless. His defense is suspect as we all know.

While I’m still undecided myself about trading him, I understand why we would consider it. But it also doesn’t mean trade him for just chips. A malt would need to be included as well.

If team chemistry is the issue, we should trade Gobert first. I'm not saying DLo was a great teammate or anything. But that's multiple teammates that have had an issue on the Wolves alone not counting his time on the Jazz.

Meanwhile Butler was the only person who crapped on KAT.

Not punching a teammate would probably have been a better culture move.

It doesn't make any difference to Finch. He obviously had to send the man child home.

Regarding the Rudy punch ..

From what I saw, Towns was unable to get the ball in, leading to a turnover where the Pels scored immediately. You could hear Towns say, “Rudy ..” before they cut away. Towns didn’t look angry, and I assume he was going to tell Rudy to come back to the passer in those situations. JimPete said the same thing in the broadcast - Rudy needs to move towards the inbound passer.

The fight came in the next time out. My guess is that Kyle was yelling at him again. I want to hear more.

And quite possibly costing himself some money on a contract extension.

Do you think other coaches would send away a talented player like that, in a game like this?

I think many coaches would stick with the player, and say, “you’re not starting the second half.” I’m happy Finch did what he did, particularly since the NBA has become so indulgent of players’ bad behavior. But I think other coaches wouldn’t want to remove that arrow from their quiver, particularly since playoff performance often affects an NBA coach’s career.

Now that the regular season is over, my biggest takeaway is that going 6-10 against the bottom 5 teams in the league can't happen again next year.

I think most would, given the explosive argument that allegedly occurred in the locker room. You have to send a player home when they assault a teammate.

It’s positive that Coach Finch did it, but I don’t think that’s a decision that deviates form what most others would do.

Do you think that the fact that this happened publicly helped Finch make this decision.

JimPete said a couple times that this happens a lot between competitive guys, but very rarely in the public’s eye.

For what it’s worth, I’d probably agree with that to an extent. Something happening in the locker room can be smoothed over, but a public outburst like that isn’t acceptable. I’ll be interested to see if he gets suspended one game by Minnesota.

Ant giving the Pels bulletin board material.

“I’ve been guarding Ingram for three years, and I know he doesn’t like the contact.”

I love his attitude, even though we may be playing the Pels again in a critical game to make the playoffs in a couple days.

At least knuckle pushups happened at the beginning of the season, I think breaking your hand this way just before the postseason is next level stupid.

Honestly, I’m more distressed about the Jaden McDaniels punch; that is a really brutal and unnecessary injury that actually ruins Minnesota’s season.

That's right. Sometimes you have to admit a mistake and move on. It looks like Rudy was a mistake.

I'm not reading profs to Kat. 30 pts 8 boards is not bad. And he didn't punch anybody either.

Good point.
