I know we don’t have the assets but moving up for Dalton Knecht would be nice. Possibly the best wing shooter in the draft and being 23, essentially in his prime from day one. 27+37+? To get into late teens?

#8 pick will make $6.281.280, which is about 4 million above a 2 year vet minimum when considering luxury tax impact.
Which is probably an additional 18-20 million in luxury tax just for next season.

So Connelly either has more moves up his sleeve or is taking advantage of the ownership fight to go for it in the short term whether neither side wants to look cheap.

Kinda wish we could have gotten the Spurs to take Moore in the deal.

Wonder if Moore and/or Minott goes out with 27 to a team for seconds?

Or, what if Minott and 27 are used to trade up?

Definitely more moves on the way. I am just glad we got our young pg, he’s got work to do but he is exactly what we needed offensively off the bench right now.
Now lets get Knecht, Smith, DaSilva or Scheierman.

I’d be okay with that, I think Smith and Djurisic will be available in early second round.

Call up Washington, offer them Moore to move up 1 spot, promise you won't take their guy. Problem solved.

Btw, if we do somehow get Scheierman at this point I'm starting the TC statue fund. With Rob at #8, I'm all in on Baylor at this point..
From a fundamental standpoint it is better for a man to have nothing but be under the protection of Jesus Christ than for him to have everything he could ever want yet be completely without.

Get a shooter. Plenty to pick from still out there. Knecht, Scheierman, Furphy, Christie, etc.

Get another big. Holmes would be nice.

What if Collier falls to 27? Take him or pass?

Scheierman, Furphy, Christie, Dadiet. That’s who I’m looking at. I love the Scheierman fit, but I’m not sure Connelly does. His drafting history is mostly freshman and teenagers. I wouldn’t be shocked by Dadiet. TC definitely not afraid of foreign players.

Pass now, and I was maybe his biggest hype man of last 24 hours

Need more 3-point shooting or defense

I still take him i think, maybe Scheierman will be there at 37.
It would be wild to end up with a draft of Dillingham, Collier and Scheierman.

Shannon, Sheierman, and Tyson are probably the best fits at 27. My bet is Connelly goes for a guy who could contribute in the short term.

I'm still watching Tim around 22 here. Definitely don't rule it out!

Scheierman, Furphy, Kolek, George, Collier, Holmes, Shannon even Filipowski there still wouldn't be bad swings.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
