Joan of Arc, French patron saint of altering shots.

Joan of Arc it is considering how opponents will have to put maximum arc on their shots to prevent them from being swatted.

I go with New Minott.

He reminds me of a non Shaqtin a Fool version of Javale McGee which could be a really good player. Get him in the gym practicing his short floaters, reads off of collapsing defense, and some post moves.

Offensively he is obviosuly very raw, just a screen and roll and dunk guy. But watching more i already see him trying a little floater/push shot, and making plays out of that short rolls that we've seen Rudy struggle with over the years. Encouraging. Really hope we can find a PG that he can build a chemistry with and really help him along.

Well yes, but I was thinking Dilly is going to have a role in the NBA this season, where Beringer will probably be exclusively in the Gleague and dont want him to just be playing with 0 structure.

If we go center, I wish we jump one spot ahead and get Yang. He is like the complete opposite of Beringer. Got a lot of skills for a big guy but seems a little slow. Beringer is fast but no skills.

Yeah but Juan was of extended Spanish decent. Joan is French so....

Joan "Monsieur Malevolence" Beringer
From a fundamental standpoint it is better for a man to have nothing but be under the protection of Jesus Christ than for him to have everything he could ever want yet be completely without.

What's your favorite prospect-team fit outside of the lottery?

Woo: Joan Beringer to the Timberwolves at No. 18. I'm high on Beringer's long-term outlook -- it's hard to find centers with his caliber of physical traits who can also run the floor and protect the rim. His age and relative inexperience leave a ton of room for him to improve.

Getting to develop behind another Frenchman in Rudy Gobert, who could be a valuable mentor as Beringer makes a major leap to the NBA level, could be an ideal situation to help him tap into his significant ability.

This might take some time to pay off, but as Minnesota continues to try to build a winner with Anthony Edwards, landing a talent of this caliber and also addressing a long-term need could be a real coup.

AI helped me simulate highlights of Beringer's first game.

This video is absolute crack.

I was actually giggling at some of the stuff he's capable of.

His ability to recover after being out of position is absolutely absurd. I can't even image what he'll look like when he's in the right position 90% of the time.

"This is like the easiest pick in the world. Beringer is a real developmental player. He is an incredible athlete. Like an unbelievable athlete. 6-foot-11, 7-foot-5 wingspan, super long arms, great hands — catches everything in his area. Moves like a wing. Moves at a level that no other big in this class really achieves.

He's just very raw. It's gonna take some time. There is legitimately no better player for Beringer to learn from in the NBA than Rudy Gobert, because this is the exact archetype. This is exactly what it is. So I think this is a great pick from Tim Connelly. I think it makes a ton of sense, and I am a huge fan of what they've done here."

He's not skinny, but I think he could buff up a little bit. Now I have to see him with his shirt off

It's funny how many people say he NEEDS to bulk up as he's the same age as a current high school graduate. He's going to put on at least 15lbs over the next few years without doing much of anything.

Plus he's FORTY pounds heavier than Chet was when he was drafted.

I want him to buff up not bulk up. I want him to have the Rudy body. Carved out of marble.

Sorry, I'm not disagreeing with what you were saying. It just trigged me as there were many reports saying he is too small. Other than Anthony Edwards and Zion, every 18yr old needs to add muscle to play in the NBA.
