So if it was Ben Simmons in Boyz in the Hood it would have had a much better ending.

LOL happier ending and tale, but missing it's biggest lesson XD.

I knew saying better ending would bring about controversy, but I like happy endings most of the time. I would have been much happier if Ricky had survived and I would have enjoyed the movie more.

I still think DLO with some assets is a decent haul for Simmons. I think Dlo would be a nice compliment to Embiid and it would give Philly a PG who can hit some long shots. There are better hauls out there but I don't think a wolves package would be terrible.

So the Sixers are about 10 games over .500 and they are thinking of trading Simmons for Harden this summer. This is even going beyond my lofty predictions. I was confident that they were good enough to be a solid team this season without Ben but they are looking to be good. I also thought they would hold on to Ben for some time but I didn't really think deadline and I definitely didn't think they would carry him for a full year.

Morey has some serious stones, I respect how he is playing this and not being forced into what he feels is a bad trade. Everyone was chirping saying she had to make a move fast, no he didn't.

Its too early to make that call yet.

Until its all played out we have no way of knowing if his decision is good or bad.

I didn't want DLo, but he's winning me over now. I don't want Simmons. First KAT would be upset, and Simmons can't shoot. DLo is the reason we are .500 right now.

From Woj

I think there’s there’s no shortage of teams who would like Ben Simmons on the roster, but the list of teams who are willing to meet the Sixers price or even really engage with the Sixers now is shorter and I think there are teams like Atlanta. They have certainly interest in him there. There are a number of others. Minnesota has interest, but is there a pathway to a deal? And I think that’s the hard part for the Sixers right now is how far are they going to have to lower their asking price to get a deal done at the deadline and for Philadelphia, listen, they have the support, internally ownership, even Joel Embiid in understanding and we’ve talked about this a lot that if they do a deal that doesn’t bring back a package that allows them to compete for a championship, it doesn’t make any sense not what Ben Simmons signed for years forward, but we certainly understand the pressure because of the way Embiid’s playing

He adds that there is still slight hope he rejoins the Sixers this year, but Simmons has been adamant that he will not.

I do not want. What’s to stop him from quitting on the Timberwolves if something happens? And the second time he does this, he becomes untradeable - a max deal-sized hole in a team’s production, that cripples a team for several years.

Your comment is misleading. There is literally no reason to suspect Simmons is coming here. In fact there is a ton of direct evidence to the contrary.

It’s like saying we traded KAT for Wiggins. Of course it would doom the franchise, and of course it would ruin peoples day. Trying to trick people into believing something that awful isn’t a joke.

I think it would be a great thing if we acquire Simmons so we disagree. We also have a 51 page thread about Simmons plus the prior thread/s so it's fair game to ask about it happening. It's kind of like Bart asking Homer are we there yet?
You clearly have no sense of humor, but since you hate Simmons it's understandable.

I don’t hate Simmons, I hate his actions over the past year and his fit here. I especially hate his contract and the price tag on his trade. That said, I do think it would doom the franchise if we acquire him, so you are correct, not funny from my perspective.

This....Plus did anyone mention, he can't shoot? Well, he kills it at the YMCA with hired staff, so....
