This was actually a bit of the inspiration for my post on Page 51 asking what is most important. I do think there's a chance they continue to move away from the "playing big" that defined the team last year. Trading for someone like Keldon would bring a more up-tempo identity with switching everything 1-4 (I think they already do this somewhat). I think this big of a contract though would make it harder to fit both Naz and NAW on the books though.

If he is waived by his new team, then he cannot re-sign with his original team until the one-year anniversary of the trade, or until the July 1 following the end of his contract, whichever comes first6. However, if a team trades a player's draft rights, it can reacquire the player during the same season.

Sell me on Keldon Johnson, I don't know enough about him.

I don't like Tre Jones at all, and Branham seems like an OK flyer on a guy either coming into his own as a shooter or is playing over his head.

We didn’t really acquire him though. He was never on the roster so I don’t think this applies. He was a free agent and we traded his bird rights, nothing more.

Yeah, doesn't seem like it unfortunately.

I'm curious if the deal would work with Looney instead? I'd expect some draft compensation in that case (nothing major) but Looney seems like an ok guy to have behind Gobert to soak up the 15 minutes or so Rudy sits.

Jaden is worth more than Collins, Randle is worth more than White, and I don’t feel we are getting enough value. I would need a couple of firsts to accept this. I would also probably swap those firsts for someone of value to balance this.

They just gave up a lot for Deni, and at his age, should be part of the rebuild, not the teardown. And Williams only has 1 more year at 13M.

I looked at this a couple weeks ago, and I’m pretty confident the trade machines are wrong here.

You’ll notice we have a traded player exception for the value of Kyle Anderson, which can only happen in a trade. We didn’t have the ability to trade him until we signed him as a free agent, which would have had to occur in the current NBA season.

July 3 - The Golden State Warriors will acquire forward Kyle Anderson from the Minnesota Timberwolves in a sign-and-trade agreement, ESPN reported Tuesday. The Warriors are giving Anderson a three-year, $27 million contract, per ESPN, and sending the Wolves cash and a future second-round pick swap.
