That's it! I'm reporting you for reporting me about reporting you. That's two reports Mr. Don't make me start demoting you stars too. And believe me, I'll do it. I'm a crazy enough son of a bitch that I just may.

When are these reports due? I think I was sleeping and missed the assignment.

Don't you dare! I'm warning you, I have an IQ of 97 so I'll eventually think of some way to get back, maybe.

I thought there might have been a little bit of news regarding Rubio with this extra page and a half since this afternoon but it's just you guys using the word "report" too much. Shame shame...

Hey guys, I'm generally just a lurker, but as a die hard Wolves fan with an alarmingly high IQ, I'd just like to say that I'm reporting the above post for subtle sarcasm and mild admonishment. We don't need that stuff in the Rubio thread.

How come the buyout numer is pointless? If it's pointless, what are they waiting for? Why the newspaper says they need to negotiate first?

Furthermore, when are you going to stop making up stuff? (being rethoric again).

Why do you constantly make personal attacks and insults? Does the board ever do anything to stop this?

I've come to the conclusion that Genjuro and KSWN are the same person who has some sort of split personality disorder and two profiles. Kind of like Me, Myself and Irene.

HAHA :lol: I wonder who Irene is[/quote]

Rubio of course :)

OK....I'm going to be a leader here and try to get this thing back on topic. :) Let's leave the tangents for the math junkies.

I check Rubio's Twitter page quite frequently, I don't really know why though because I'm pretty surprised every time I find out it's in Spanish, a language I am not familiar with. Could someone translate these for me even if it is a pretty rough translation?

Also, Bill Simmons was asked a question on the Wolves draft. Really nothing too new but another take on the whole Rubio/Flynn situation. Oh and he trashes us so.....I hate him now. :evil: Also definitely don't agree with his view.

Q: Who would you have drafted with Minnesota's two top-six picks? What would you have done? I don't like the fact that we have seven point guards either, but we had to take Rubio even if he stays in Spain.
-- J.T., Minnesota

SG: I would have drafted Ricky Rubio at No. 5 and Stephen Curry at No. 6. Then I would have sent Rubio 10 hours of Curry tapes and told him, "Look, we're pairing you with an undersized guard with 28-foot range who could get off a 3-pointer if he were trapped in a phone booth. He's electric. You will love him. You also get to play with Al Jefferson, who's one of the best low-post players alive when healthy. And you get to play with Kevin Love, a top-10 rebounder who shoots 3s and throws outlets like Wes Unseld. It's going to be a really, really, really fun team right away. We might get killed by scoring 2-guards with size, but so be it. We'll figure that part out later. In the meantime, we want to give you the car keys and make you a star. This is your team starting today. If you want us to sign Spanish dudes as our 11th and 12th men so you have people to hang out with, we'll do that, too. We just want to make you happy. Come play with us."

Here's what I wouldn't have done: taken a second point guard (Jonny Flynn) at No. 6, then vowed to play them together. That pick was transparent -- Flynn clearly was a "here's our backup plan if we don't sign Rubio" selection. Rubio saw right through it. Now he's probably going back to Spain, and by the time he joins the NBA, David Kahn will be gone. Here's to four years of a hot-poop sundae, Wolves fans! Enjoy. Would you like whipped cream on that? How 'bout a cherry?

Do those translators actually work for more than one word??? I tried that for my two years of spanish class and it didn't help much. That was a few years back though.

EDIT: WOW...google can do anything. But what is Campus Nike? I'm guessing that would be some sort of Nike basketball Camp for youngsters?

Actually, I'm pretty sure he's talking about the Nike headquarters. He has a promotion deal with them, doesn't he? He's just going in for his bag of money(hopefully about $6,000,000).

Simmons knows basketball, but it takes more than that to be a successful GM, Wolves learned that the hard way with McHale. It was pretty clear before the draft that Curry wanted to be drafted by the Knicks and he didn't look all that happy to me today playing for Warriors. Drafting two guys who may not want to play for you back to back? Not a savvy decision I'd say. And besides Flynn seems like a better NBA prospect.

Why don't they (Rubiocube) work out a way to pay MORE over MORE years, say 1 mill, then 1.5, then 2, then 2.5. That 7 Mill over 4 years and he would be able to afford that on his NBA contract alone. Also, if he was able to pay it off early maybe they could work out a reduced rate for each year.
Say Year 1=7m (nothing paid off) =7m total
2=5.5m (already paid 1m) = 6.5m total
3=3.5m (already paid 2.5m) =6m Total
Now maybe he's holding out for the principal of it all. Of course his old team might just be the one's holding all this up (what it sounds like).

Because his team has the right to ask for it all at once.
