Each time Fredette plays a nationally televised game, inmates at Mount McGregor Correctional Facility gather in the TV lounge in their respective housing units to cheer for the senior guard. Their connection with Fredette dates back to spring 2007 when the Glens Falls, N.Y., native and his older brother joined a civilian team that played a handful of basketball games at the prison against the inmates.

what they neglect to mention is that the real reason they like him so much is that after the games Jimmer would stick around to give autographs. And reach arounds.

What do you guys think about drafting Malcom Lee of UCLA. He is going to be drafted in the 2nd round but it can't be hard to get a second round pick this year. And all UCLA players in recent years have been steals... (Other than Ryan Hollins)

I think I'd rather get a 2nd for Lighty, has that great 2/3 physique and active and aggressive defense on the perimeter. But I'm fine w/ Lee too, trade Ellington and Hayward for 2nds and grab them both

I don't get the Hayward hate. He's not great but he was alright for a late rookie pick.

Jimmy Butler (18.7pts, 62% fg, 4.7 rebs, 4 ast)

Named the MVP of the camp after leading his team to a championship win, he showed his versatile game and ability to take over on both ends when the game called for it. He has nice size and strength on the perimeter and is able to score without dominating the ball. Finding his spots within the rhythm of the game, he is not only very effective but also very efficient. His midrange game is nicely developed, he has a smooth jumper and is able to elevate with good balance and make shots with a hand in his face. He is a decent athlete and can get into the lane where he uses his body and size to finish. What makes Butler so valuable is his ability to contribute in other areas as well. He is extremely unselfish and is always looking to make plays for his teammates. Pushing the ball ahead in transition, he is not hesitant to give it up and trusts his teammates with making plays. Defensively, he was able to lock down a number of good scorers this week. He understands positioning and is able to use his strength and good foot speed to stay in front of people and also body them out of driving lanes. His handle gets sloppy and definitely needs work, but the big question mark about his game is his ability to knock down the NBA range three pointer. His form breaks down a bit when he shoots from longer range, and it does not look the same as when he shoots from midrange. He certainly shares some traits with guys like Landry Fields and Wesley Matthews, but for him to stick around at the next level he will need to continue extending his range.

I don't mind Hayward, what I hate is the fact we even drafted him... We effectively traded down to draft a guy we were not going to play... So (Please Use More Appropriate Word)

Guys I like with our picks.

#1 Kyrie Irving - Obviously a star talent at the point guard position. He moves Ridnour to the bench where he is best suited and allows to trade the rights to Rubio for a decent prospect at another position. Also allows us to trade Flynn for a half eaten sandwich (Or nearest offer).

#20 Lucas Nogueira - He is no Biyombo but he is a very intriguing young lad who at 18 still has the chance to grow and improve. Playing in 5th division in Spain means we can't really say how good he is now but he did well at the U18 Americas tournament showcasing good defensive awareness and also leading the tournament in Blocks, rebounds and FG%.

He is obviously someone we would draft and then send back to Spain for seasoning hopefully in a higher division.

Yeah, I agree with that. I was pissed they passed on Stephenson when they still had a hole at SG.

Actually, scratch Butler. If they're going for a defensive stopper and he's available they HAVE to pick Chris Singleton.

If you go by the stats in AQuintus Synergy Sports thread, Hayward wasn't alright by any standard.

Exactly. Hayward, at least from what I saw, showed some improvement as the season went on.

Heyward has a good shot at playing in this league. His development is fairly typical for a late pick rookie. It'll be two or three years at least, but he'll get some minutes somewhere.

This team's defensive scheme made all the players look a hundred times worse on defense.
