The DEN vs LAC game is great to watch. Kawhi is having an incredible game, hitting a buzzer beater 3. I am pulling for DEN.

When trade initially came out, wolves fans were pissed.. it was the correct move even though Julius needs to go.
Maybe but definitely not tonight. He was playing reasonable defense. I didn't watch the 3rd qtr but NYK could definitely run something or have Towns initiate. Brunson was clearly out of gas and putting up desperate shots. I get Harris is not a good matchup for Towns, they still could had use him around the 3pt line, high post, low post, etc.
Towns is not good under pressure. Contract is not worth it. Also has never shown killer instinct.. He will not win a championship anytime soon.. could be possible at the end of his career, but not soon as an integral piece. We had to move on..

The fact that the foundation of last year's team didn't get a chance to run it back still blows my mind, especially when you consider it was only the second time in franchise history the Wolves reached the Western Conference Finals.
Connelly may have sacrificed a little short-term success, but he did it for the franchise's longterm viability. I would be far more negative about it if we missed the playoffs over it, but we were a 49-win team that has a 1-0 lead in the first round of the playoffs.

I am currently convinced that the Knicks traded for Towns for the main reason to create more spacing for Brunson himself, rather for any qualities Towns brings to the game.

Well, it is called passive spacing. With more chemistry, more cutting &offball movement they might develop an active spacing. I feel like NYK could really use a bench scorer tho

I feel like they had gone backwards since the beginning of the year. Last night was way too much Brunson one-on-one. Towns, Bridges, and OG are under utilized with Brunson out of gas. If Towns is just there to create space, than that is one expensive statue. Cost more than the Statue of Liberty.

So bad! When was the last time a first round series was this lopsided, especially in the West?

He's far worse than Kahn already. Luka is a generational player.
Kahn never was so bad fans actively booed him and protested outside Target center.
Hands down the worst GM in history.
I don’t know how to compare the two, but I think the difference in fan reaction comes from the rise in fan attention towards GMing, since Kahn’s tenure ended in 2013. I think basketball fans didn’t even realize his mistakes, while today’s fan would be all over them.
The one I remember most isn’t Martell Webster or Brandon Roy .. it was signing the Kirilenko contract. Back then, RealGM was a less busy site, including the Wolves board. Kahn reportedly signed AK to a two year, $20 mil contract (decent money back then), and here on the boards, we couldn’t figure out how he did it. We didn’t think he had the cap space or exceptions. The deal went to the NBA front office, who rejected it .. it WAS illegal, and David Kahn, the well-paid GM a of the Wolves, had added up our cap space wrong! AK had that signed contract, so Kahn had to give up an asset to dump another player to make the signing legal - and it was a big overpay anyway, for Kirilenko at the end of his career.

I had forgotten all about that! That almost rivals drafting ineligible player Tanguy Ngombo

The knicks roster desperately needs a 2nd ballhandler. Playing 3 3+D wings with KAT and Brunson is not going to cut it long term.
The Knicks weaknesses are not KAT's fault.
They only won game 1 because Cameron Payne went crazy and gave them a guard not named Brunson who could create his own shot for a little bit.
KAT needs to be operating between the elbows like Jokic where you can maximize his skillset by maximizing his options, and he is always a step away from a top of the key 3 pointer.
But tell that to Thibs and KAT and every coach he's had before.
I don't know how you could watch that disaster of a game from Rudy Fumblefingers last night and not desperately wish we had KAT instead.

The Kat trade is done.
Not worth anyone's time.

I watch a bit of Houston-GSW today. Dray is really an idiot..... I'm glad he push Thomson one more time who fall on Butler who get injured. If Jimmy is out, they are done. Stupid one day, stupid...

I hope MIN will show with the same level of toughness and physicality in Game 3 as HOU did in Game 2.
