I figured WAS would ask/get more for a top 2 pick but, like I said, that was my wet dream scenario. In reality, I'd be willing to trow in another asset and/or take back a contract from them to sweeten the deal. Not sure who/what that would be. Anyway, I'd probably move any asset outside of Jefferson and Love for the chance at a franchise PG.

As for Thabeet's minutes - I see him taking the minutes from Smith, Collins, Cardinal, etc., not Jefferson and Love. Al and Love can't play 48 mpg each anyway.

Problem is our back court needs three more wheels. Miller/Gomes/Foye/Telfair/Brewer are all better suited for back up roles on a good team. Telfair, maybe not even so much. The way I see it we have two starting level talents Love and Jefferson. That's it.

And quit calling him Thabeast. Here's a picture of Blair flinging him around like a rag doll--

Obviously Thabeet would be picked after Griffin, Rubio, and Harden. Really, you have to assume that's the given and ignore them in any discussion of Thabeet.

Aminu does nothing for me so far. I love Evans, but if we're sitting at #4 or #5, I struggle with taking him THAT high, although I'd definitely reach for him at 6-9.

And yeah, seriously, to say you wouldn't take a legit 7 foot shot blocker because he'd take minutes from our two best players is silly because Love and Jefferson can't play 48 minutes a piece.

I highly doubt Mullens is on the board at 18. Someone in the 12-15 range will grab him.

Knicks, Bobcats, Bulls, and Pistons are all in need of a young 7 foot center.

It all depends on where our picks end up, though. Like I mentioned a couple days ago, it's kind of in tiers, assuming no one falls.

1-2 = Rubio
3-5 = Thabeet
6-9 = Evans

But I'd love to find a way to package picks and assets to move into the 8-12 range to grab Evans after drafting Thabeet with our pick. It would be the greatest T-Wolves draft in maybe 12 months, if not longer. Especially if we found a way to package picks and expirings to move up for Evans and take on a talented SF playing for a team looking to shed salary, like Deng, Jefferson, or Dunleavy.

its not silly because in all the most important moments of a game, Love/Jefferson should be on the court and I want our top 5 pick to be on the court too in those moments.

I've seen that same move from Randy "Macho Man" Savage. It's a flying elbow off the top rope and it worked for The Macho Man for 20 years in pro wrestling. No reason it can't for for Hasheem The Dream.

Ok Devilz, I love Evans as much as you do, but let's assume we end up with the 5th pick, who do you take assuming Griffin, Rubio, and Harden aren't available? Ty Evans? AFA? Cole Iverson? Can you really see Aminu on the court in crunch time? He seems like a SF version of Corey Brewer at this point.

^Then Love switches to SF.

Love/Jefferson/Thabeet will be the new Bird/McHale/Parrish. :D

If our draft were to yield Thabeet, Evans and Deng I would bake more than cookies. Scones maybe? A cake? Needless to say, my oven would get a workout.

I've always thought he looks kind of like Michael Vick

Hmm, maybe it's not a good idea to draft him on the Wolves.

I don't really know jack about the prospects this year. Just bring in someone who is skilled, has SIZE, athletic, and LEADERSHIP! We are lacking leadership like a mother. We need that player who just looks like he's in control and knows what the hell he is doing on the floor. Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Brandon Roy. Whenever I see those guys they look supremely confident and leader like. Its contagious.

He has ok form, he just pushes it too much. Needs to relax and lighten his release. that can be fixed. It's not jacked up like some guys coming out.

Rubio. Then Harden. Then Evans. Then maybe your boy Turner.

Rough first game for Memphis. I expected more from Evans, though that zone made things ugly for Memphis as a whole. Still, 6-11, 15 points and limited due to fouls.

It's funny, I have Memphis in my championship game for my bracket; but I was cheering for CS Northridge the whole time. Have to love March Madness.

EDIT: Northridge not Northfield

Can't see the video til I get home from work, but if he's not getting too far off the ground on his jumpers, as long as he's open, that'll lead to more consistent shooting. Most of the top pure shooters don't get overly high off the ground.

His toes are seriously only like 3 inches from the ground. As long as it goes in, who cares :D
