Without Thad this gets even worse. I don't know that we can afford to trade him.

They can't afford to lose him in free agency for nothing and they can't afford to overpay him to stay. Trading him would be the prudent move. And it's not like they're doing him wrong, It'd be good for him too to go play for a less depressing team.

Everything changed when everybody went down, they need to consider moving Thad first and foremost.

We can't afford to continue getting crushed every night. Maybe if the package is right, but I'd rather be competitive as possible for the rest of the season than add a late first round pick. If he walks, he walks.

not sure the wolves have a choice in getting crushed until Rubio at least comes back. At least not against quality teams.

And I'm not saying trade him for whatever and tank for draft position, I'm saying take advantage of the timing to grab a great deal like they did with Love to Cleveland. All the teams are still in the hunt now. Young isn't a difference maker to the Wolves with their injuries, but he is to a team looking to bolster their playoff chances and their forward depth. We're already hearing rumors about Charlotte - they are probably getting antsy to get back in the playoff race. How many teams can offer them a player of Young's caliber? That could be a great opportunity.

I'm not sure what a great deal for Young would be. If one comes along, great, but I don't necessarily expect it. Rubio will be back in few weeks and lots of season is left.

We ain't special son. Almost every team has to be trash to become good. Look at the Lakers, they are one of the most successful franchises ever but are deliberately gunning for a top 5 pick this year.
